The wealth of the Vatican does not belong to the pope. They belong to the Church. The pope is only the first among equals, the caretaker of the Church in all Its aspects.

You might have a point!
The Pope is presumed to be an Apostle in the line of Peter. But Peter didn't have any staff, ring, a hat that resembles the one they used in Dagon worship. So even if the Roman Catholics are right ( which I don't think they are), the tendency of sin is to continue going into error.
And so now we not only have the claim that Peter started an Apostolic line, but there is all this stuff to accompany his heritage. I wonder what else they do?

Yeah - you are correct.
Jesus was Jewish...and while he might not have been happy with the Pharisees, he might have hung with the Essenes or Zealots.
But certainly, he was Jewish and read Torah daily, was a humble man and would be appalled at today's take on Christianity.
