there are a number of Athiest that have a non secular direction that they walk. basically because of the fact they do no longer have faith in a familiar version of god or the after life does not propose they have not any ideals in any respect. some have faith they grow to be concept or power. they only don't think in an all effective being that guides our lives. i think of you're able to according to danger make the difficulty to talk to a pair athiest. For those that have nasty attitudes i could basically remind you that there are human beings in all concept structures with nasty attitudes. I even have come for the period of a few very nasty Christians,Muslims, and Hindus yet i could by no potential say all and sundry in those communities are nasty. i could propose you to roll previous the solutions that don't sense stable to you. i could propose you to no longer click on questions that difficulty you. you're on top of problems with your adventure. Atheism is an idea or an attitude about religion and thus has a place in the free exchange of ideas guaranteed by our Constitution. If you want to ban me from saying what I think, you are trying to deny my First Amendment rights to freedom of religion and freedom of speech. It seems that some tyrants want to do such things here on YA and in all areas of life. Well, down with tyrants I say, and Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Franklin and Paine would agree with me. Did you ever hear of any men with those surnames who lived in the 1700's in the USA? If not, read all about about them.

if there was a site for athiests we would hate it if no christians or other religions came to chat- we like to discuss and debate other peoples views and if someone put a good argument forward we would listen and maybe accept. we do not feel intimidated by having our views questioned- thats why we come here -to debate! i bet there are many athiests here who have opposite views to me on many subjects and if we did discuss these subjects i would expect them to put forward a good argument and they would expect the same and we might still never agree, but at least neither would just say "you are wrong because i am right"

Who ever said that the religion catagory is only for those who believe and follow some religion ?
The religion catagory is 'about' religion , not just for those who are religious .

This is an open forum. The first thing you should do is ban humans from answering in Cats. This is about matters pertaining to religion, not for the religious.

Only if you ban all others that think their religion is actually factual information or is a relationship or is some form of truth... as you can see, that rules out quite a few of the "christians" that frequent this forum.

Wayne - no.

Part of the experience of the men who founded this country was freedom from state oppression - the freedom to worship as they please.

(And if you need a modern example, look to Tibet and China for state interference in religious affairs).

This is also extended to people who have no faith as well.

Yes, it lets in all the virulent talkers on both sides. But freedom grants us the ability to practice as we so choose.

We cannot curtail it too much - though we should try to be respectful.

OK. And we can ban everyone lower than Grand Duke from answering questions in the Royalty category.

And I guess the Pets category will be pretty quiet, since none of them have thumbs.

And ban everyone from the Basketball category who isn't actually a basketball.
