I moved into a new apartment building about two months ago, and have had my eye on a guy that lives above me. We've talked superficially (small-talk kind of stuff), and have just recently started to hang out. He asked for my number and he seems really cool. We both smoke pot so that is something cool we have in common. We have good conversation for the most part and I can tell he's not a weirdo or anthying. The problem is I looked him up on Myspace and his profile picture is really douchey. I couldn't look at his profie because he has it set on private, but his picture really turned me off. It's like a web cam pic with a really douchey half smile and a Hurley hat sideways. It's like he's trying to look hot for the ladies but it's not working. Myspace can tell a lot about a person. What do you think of all this? Am I just being stupid?

First of all, Myspace cannot tell you anything about a person. You have no idea if anything on there is true or not just from reading it. Just because you both do drugs doesn't make either of you "cool", just unfocused. If you alread decided he is not a weirdo from talking to him, which is much more reliable than a ficticious entry on MySpace, what more do you want?? Did you even have a question here, except are you stupid for smoking dope? The obvious answer to that is yes.

Well, I don't know I think that myspace pics doesn't necessarily mean anything...Maybe it was just a bad picture. I know there are many times I have taken bad pics and I thought they were good but others said that they looked funny or whatever. What I really think is that you should go with your instincts if you think he's a nice guy then he probably is a nice guy. Just be careful is all I can say. Good luck!

Sometimes people don't take very good pictures. You really can't judge him based on the one picture. I don't have myspace but on everyone I have seen the people always look like they are trying too hard to impress other people.

He smokes pot, enough said. My advice to you is to stay off that stuff. It's awful for you. You can have a fun life without the drugs.

i wouldn't go by the picture too much. try to add him as a friend so you can see the rest of his profile. read through it and then stop and think about it.
if he is single, than he probably is trying to impress the ladies. you know us girls do it too.

since you hang out together, tell him his myspace page looks douchy. maybe he'll agree and have you redesign it for him.
