I mean, those news items talking about new dinosaur fossils or a new planet discovered are NOT for the sake of Atheism...

They're just stating and presenting F-A-C-T-S, for people to learn...

They just hate the implication that science being pro-truth works out in practice as anti-god and can't bear thinking about what that means.

Most good scientist are more concerned with evaluating and correctly observing the world/universe than giving anyone or anything credit for it.

Most of the people I regard as good scientific contributers are resigned to the fact they will find out sooner or later anyway.

Some fundies think that because many of the things they took as absolute truth have been better explained by scientific exploration. The don't realise that is just a side effect not a purpose.

What is a fundie?

What is the f-a-c-t? Fossils of dinosaurs. How do things get fossilized? Dump a ton of sediment-bearing pile on them in a big hurry.

Why then do we believe in uniformitarianism? Why do we believe there was a worldwide flood on Mars (where no water has been found), yet not on Earth, where we have enough subterranian water to cover the Earth?

It would be an exaggeration to say that this never happens.

I remember, for instance, that the fellow working on the colliding brane cosmological theory (a new variant on steady state) was essentially motivated to do so because he was alarmed by the theological implications of the Big Bang.

It make,s no difference what they say, they may have
found dinosaur fossil,s but they cannot prove that
God did not creat them, they lived year,s ago and no one
today was there,so they cannot say for sure.

The Creator is not threatened by facts, new findings serve to remind us of the immensity of the Creator's power. I do wish more religious people would see it that way.

Fundies just wanna have fun without understanding the consequences.

Because they don't understand it, and think they are the best and that the whole world is out to get them. And they think that they have to show how great they are in the eyes of God by fighting fact.

i must not be a fundie, because it's just more proof for me that my God does exist, that we (man) is just a little slow discovering all of his creations, and how they change/evolve as the earth changes. the only part i am stuck on is the age of the earth...not that i really care.

Because there are some whos main goal is disproving religion and not in scientific integrity.
