"My thoughts are not your thoughts. My ways are not your ways," say the Lord. "As high as the sky is above the earth, so high are my ways above the ways of men."

How does it apply to the statement that is it a "waste of space" to create an entire universe and inhabit it only with earthlings on this speck of a planet?

How does it apply to the statement that it was "an ineffecient way to create people" by starting with hominids and then evolving them into human beings?

How does it apply to the idea that God was twiddling His thumbs for eons when at some point in eternity, He got the idea for creating the world?

Part One: He was using it as an analogy, he encompassed the entire universe for us to study through our human ways; biology, mathematics, geometry, physics etc... In that period in time and year of man, all of mankind could not even concept the idea of a universe, much less the universe could be infinite. They came to reason that the sky was the limit by use of their limited sight. God said as high "as the sky is above the earth, so high are my ways of above the ways of men". He also says that his knowledge is infinite and that he is infinite... so why would he use the sky, which man thought was limited, to prove his wisdom and knowledge? Studying just this singular passage concludes that this passage was not an idea of man, but the infinate wisdom of God.

Part Two: Since God has said that he is infinte what would be the reason of having to start from humanoids and then evolving them into humans? There would be no point. God said that he created man in his own Image. (Genesis Chapter 1:7 So God created us in his own image; God patterned them after his own himself; male and female he created them.) ...if God has infinite knowledge then he would know how to create us, down to the very source of comprising and writing the information in the genetic structure of our DNA.

Part Three: God says; "My ways are not your ways," what are our ways? How do we operate? Cause and effect. Because something happened, something else happens. This is a Law of nature that propels us through time. Because there is movement and change we can measure it with time. If God exists outside of time... since we live in a universe of cause and effect, we naturally assume that this is the only way in which any kind of existence can function. However, the premise is false. Without the dimension of time, there is no cause and effect, and all things that could exist in such a realm would have no need of being caused, but would have always existed. Therefore, God created the time dimension of our universe specifically for a reason - so that cause and effect would exist for us. Our ways would not be his ways.

I hope this answers your question. Thanks, keep them coming.

My Bible says Heavens , not sky. Heaven is where God lives and if it is not far above the earth, I don't what would be. Did he create the universe for only little old us or did create others? In the Bible it says other sheep will know my voice, who is he speaking of? You remember it broke the creation into days, how long is a day to God. One moment or a million years, when you control time what does it matter? There are so many questions and there is only one way to know the answer, that is to die and I'm not ready.

It simply lets you know you can not know the mind of God....he is quite a step above our wildest imagination. He can do whatever he wants to do with space....It is His space. What appears a waste to humans may indeed be totally something else....you really don't know...merely spectulation. Again who is to say this is the only inhabited planet? If or when you get face to face with God you will no doubt have the answer to this questiona and many others....some until then are ok not known....that is another thing humans need to learn they don't know everything and don't have to....God's in Control.

That's a hard question. I believe in Isaiah 55:6. I've learned that to see through the eyes of the Creator is to see beauty even when things appear ugly.

As far as I can tell your 3 part question is based on supposition. The texts you referred to answer all these suppositions very nicely. God's ways(purposes) are beyond our grasp. His thoughts are beyond ours to accomplish what we consider impossible. Verse 7 explains His intentions that even those we consider lost are and will be saved.

You are way over my head on this question. I read it to say: the Lord is not equal to us on earth he has limitless knowledge and understanding.
So call to Him change your ways and He will pardon you.
For we are his seeds and we will come to fruition just as the seeds of wheat will grow to make bread all that God 'seeds' will produce.. We on earth will receive joy & love from Him as it brings Him pleasure for us to change our bad ways.
I am very bad at deciphering the bible that is why I do not read it very musch unless I have to.
