he was spurned by a Catholic chick years ago, and he still hasn't gotten over it.

No, he doesn't understand.
There are some people who are ignorant and blissful and some who are ignorant and hateful. He, unfortunately, is the latter.
We can show him proof over and over but his eyes are closed. Unless he's willing to make that first move of "opening" his eyes to actually see the truth, then we are just spinning our wheels.
But, I suggest prayer. I have begun to pray for him specifically and for many of the others here on YA that have the same condition. God loves them and knows their hearts...

I am surprised CJ has not yet posted to say "Catholicism is a Babylonian cult" and "Catholics are not saved Christians."

I agree with what somebody said, that we need to pray for him. In a way, his vitriol has made my faith even stronger, since I can see all his logical errors that he is blind to. His hateful attitude and superior self righteous tone doesn't help his cause either.

I agree. He is pathetic, really, and we should do as Jon suggests and pray for him daily. We could make this a rosary day for CJ!

Midge, by posting this question, you are showing that you are taking him seriously.
If you truly have love and peace, no one can take it away. Paul said that nothing can take us away from the love of God.
Let CJ say whatever he wants. He is not hurting us. When you attack him, you are playing his game. Do not play his game.
DO NOT FEED THE TROLLS!!!!!

He has no effect at all on my faith. He only stirs my heart to pity. I wonder if he is in a lot of pain because of his false religion.

Its true we should pray for him or her, but outside of that I think ignoring him is the best way to deal with his arrogant answers.

If you are referring to "CJ," then I agree, and would like to add that he/she needs our compassion much much more than our scorn.
Today, I invite all Catholics and other true Christians everywere to pray for him/her and ask God to send His light and peace into his/her heart and His understanding into him/her mind.
