Depends on the size of the potato but about 1 hour on 160c with a splash of olive oil and a pinch of salt, and test it with a knife and if it goes through the potato easily it is done

Depending on the size of the potato and its shape (less if it's flat and more if they're rounder) anything between 45 to 60 mins. I always set my oven at the top temperature and turn them upside down half way of being cooked.
To save fuel I do mine 4 mins in the microwave, turn them and another 4 mins, then I only give them 15 mins in the cooker's oven to crisp the skin.
Don't forget to prickle the skin all over you they'll explode, not a big explosion, but a nasty mess to clean, lol.
To check if they're done, stab it with a knife, if you find resistance it needs longer, if it feels like stabbing mash potato all the way it's done.

Ok....If you want a quick way, stab the potato a few times with a knife and place in the microwave for 7/8 minutes depending on size.
Remove and its ready for the oven...If you want to add a special touch, drizzle with olive oil and rub with a little sea salt. Place in oven on NO MORE than 200c for 20-30 mins 'hugged' in foil. Cook at too high a temperature and you have a dry stodge potato with a burnt base!
Best simple topping...'mash' butter into potato and top with Philadelphia!
Best Posh topping...pan fried chopped chicken with sour cream...
Have Fun!

Depending on what size potato you have and the kind, baking a potato at 350 degrees should get it done in anywhere from 40 to 60 minutes as a general rule. You'll have to do a fork test, or squeeze the potato slightly to see if it "gives" way to pressure, which will let you know that its done.

Prod it all over with a fork and then leave the (metal) fork stuck in it. Then cook for around 45 mins at 200 degs C. The fork will conduct heat into the potato, reducing the usual 1 hour quoted. A metal skewer would do the same. Take care when lifting it out to check. Enjoy!

Cook it in the microwave on high for 10-15 minutes. You can buy potatoes for baking in grocery stores ready to bake.

I usually put it on about gas mark 3/4 (sorry dont have an electric oven) and DO NOT wrap it in anything cos that makes the skin less crispy and yummy! prick it a few times with a fork and bake for about an hour, if you can pierce it with a thin knife easily all the way through then it's done, happy eating, they're my favourite!

Well, I like mine real soft on the inside and crispy and salty on the outside.
To do this I stab the potatoes everywhere and wet them. Then, I put them in the microwave for 10 mins (5 on each side)
Then, when they should be soft inside, just rub them with oil and sprinkle them with salt and bake them unwrapped for about half an hour on the highest temp you have.
Then, when you can't wait any longer, just eat 'em!!!
