God know what is going to happen. He puts things in motion and does not interfere with the results. That is not the point. The point is how we handle it. If he made us do things right, there is no point in giving us free will. If something bad happens, who knows what is the real result. As someone talks about a pedophile. The result may be to strengthen the abused child instead of permanently hurt him. The result maybe to affect the pedophile for the better and create a good person. We don't know. Certainly there are some that believe that God is running a long experiment on the nature of man. He/she wants to see what we do and how we handle things. One huge ant farm.

"All-knowing" would mean just that. He knows everything that is happening right now, that has happened in the past or that will happen in the future. He is also aparently "All-seeing" (which would obviously be linked with the all-knowing part) as mentioned in Prov 15:3, but what I don't get is that if he knows EVERYTHING, then why would he need to test anyone as he would already know the future outcome? Or when he was walking in the garden of Eden in Gen 11:5 and Adam and Eve hid from him, God said "Adam, where art thou?". Wouldn't he know?!?! Why would God ask any questions if he's supposed to already know the answer? None of it makes sense....... unless the bible is wrong, and if it's wrong with that, then how do we know that it's not wrong in other places?

I believe God knows our hearts which also includes our thoughts. That alone is a big tip off as to what our response to a circumstance will be. I'd like to see some scripture saying that he knows exactly every decision we make in our lives. I knew my kids were going to do some things in their lives that pleased me and didn't please me even before they were born. For instance, as kids they were going to get into things I didn't want them to. They were not always going to be obedient. I knew it was going to happen, but not when. I did not know exactly the time or situation that they would do these things. Only that it was going to happen at some time. Now is this the same with God? I don't know. I'd like scripture reference to back it up. He knows those who are chosen. He knows who he will create. He knows us and what we are thinking. He knows the future as written in prophecy.

I believe God sees the paths we could take and lets us choose but He knows the outcome of each choice. Like we have door #1, 2, 3 and the choice is ours. He doesnt exactly KNOW what we'll choose but he knows what'll happen if we choose a certain door. Does that make sense? I hope I explained myself right

I believe that God knows when we are going to sin. He knows the choices we are going to face, throughtout our lifetime, and He knows what choices we will make - good and bad. So, even if we make a last minute change to a decision, God already knew we were going to do that. This, of course, is just my humble opinion.

If He knows everything then:
He knew that Adam and Eve were going to eat the apple.
He knew that he was going to flood the world.
He knew that Jesus was going to get crucified.
He knew that Hitler was going to do what he did.
He knows whenever a women is about to get raped.
He knows whenever a baby is going to get cancer.
It's a pretty grim idea, isn't it ?

Does God choose not to know?
God can know our hearts, but God can also decide not to know, as part of allowing humanity free will.
God can choose to be saddened or surprised by what humanity decides to do.
That's why God looks for Adam in the garden of Eden, and asks Adam where he is.
Godspeed you on your journey of discovery.

God deals only with reality. The future, as people picture it, that exists somewhere "out there", just sitting around waiting to happen, is science fiction, not reality.
God knows your actions when you decide to perform them. God is truly all-knowing. But He knows reality, not sci fi. When you're talking about "the furture," there is nothing there to know until it becomes the present.

freedom of actions.
As much as He loves you and He doesn't want you to get in troubles...
He lets you make your choices.
You can tell a kid not to touch the flames on a fire... but if he does it anyway... he will learn not to do it again.
How not to sin?
Well... the Bible is the best guide!
To answer the question about a pedophile who attacks/abuse of a child:
just tell me: WHERE WERE THE PARENTS?
What the heck? We expect always God to do OUR job???
