I am not playing by their silly rules any more though ... it gets you nowhere but bored and frustrated

It's anonymous to the person who is reported, but it's not anonymous to Yahoo. They have said that they will get rid of people who report unjustifiably, and that is an improvement in that they are now telling us that is the case. Still, the limiting factor is how easily someone can have a question or an answer deleted, but how hard it is to successfully appeal that decision.
I hardly ever got violation notices before the new system, but now I have one that's up on appeal because I honestly cannot figure why it was objectionable. I suspect it may have been someone who objected to my using a Yiddish word (schmuck) which, if it was in English, might have been replaced by asterisks. But it was a word that my Jewish mother-in-law used, and she's not a dirty-minded person. The definition I was given was not dirty, but maybe if it was literally translated, who knows?

The last time I answered a question regarding my feelings towards Yahoo....my entire account got deleted. And that account never had 1 violation except for that 1 question.

no i am offended by the people who annonymously report me-i take it as a sigh that they are incapable of a rational argument and thus are left with no other choice-wouldnt mind it if the person first answered saying they were and why---enjoy the day---as for your second question--five is the answer

Yeah I think it's unfortunate but I doubt they are going to spend a ton of cash on making sure everything is on the up and up.

Yes.
Mostly because its constantly abused and yahoo don't bother to check if your being reported is justified or not.
