I retired. I was a firefighter for 35 years. It is something that can not be explained to anyone who has not done the job.
It was boring most of the time, interrupted by flashes of shear terror.
You do have a feeling of accomplishment in helping people.
Now I coach middle and high school track and field.
I enjoy that very much, and get some of the same feelings, without the moments of fear.

I'm a stay at home Mom and an Avon rep. I love what I do now as opposed to the job I left when I found out I was pregnant. I worked in a hospital in the Pre-0p/Recovery department. I'm also making just about what Iwas making working at the hospital - creating my own schedule without having to follow someone elses. I get to do what I want when I want and meet new people. Fun? Absolutely!

server, bartender, I can't stand most people, so its ... tolerable, midly entertaining at best, not what I want to do, I like laughing at people best.
