I can't tell really because of how often accounts get suspended.

This is my original account, so as you can see, I've been around since (I think) May of this year.

Wow, I'm surprised to find out that some of you who I thought had been here much longer have only been around the same amount of time as me, or less, even. Cool. :o)

I've been coming here since the mid-1960s. My first answer was to a question on whether or not the Gemini astronauts were going to have sex in space.

My second answer was to "Why don't atheists believe in God?", back on May 5th, 1965.

Of course back in those days we weren't using computers and the internet. Yahoo! Answers questions were included in Bazooka Joe bubble gum wrappers and under bottle caps when we bought our Graf's sodas, and we responded to them by punching little holes in a card and depositing the card in a slot at the Mobil station, under the big red Pegasus.

The cool thing about being on Y!A R&S in those days was that Pascal was still around, and he used to come by and personally admonish people who were misusing his long-refuted "Wager" as though it were a good argument for God's existence. He'd write "Tut-tut, my dear fellow, I'm at a complete loss as to why you young people still hold onto that silly Wager I wrote so long ago. I've long since come to my senses, you can be sure, and would never utter such a silly thing in public in this modern age of radar ranges and TV dinners".

We didn't really have many creationists at the time, certainly not like today, but instead, there was a raging debate about whether or not the "Slinky" was evidence of God's hand in human affairs. People would exclaim
"It walks down stairs alone or in pairs, and makes a slinkety sound, a spring, a spring, a marvelous thing, everyone knows it's Slinky",

and man, all hell would break loose. The pre-post-modernists were all up in arms about that "everyone knows" line, and made such a stink about the fact that there were no Slinkies in other cultures, and the evangelists would swear they'd seen Slinkies walking UP stairs, challenging the scientists to explain that, if they were so smart! Then the Pagans would show up talking about Hula Hoops, and start it all over again.

I had that first account until 1969, but when the first wave of "the Moon landing was faked!" people came through, I lost it, and called people all sorts of names (back then, we said things like "dinkus!" and "you dirty rotten person, you!"), and I was deleted.

I re-upped a couple of years later, when Yahoo!Answers first appeared on McDonald's paper placemats when they opened their first sit-down restaurants.

This is my first account. It says it was created on June 8 of this year. I started visiting regularly within a couple weeks of that.

So, the answer would be: about five months. But it took a good three months or so before I felt like a "regular."

Almost but not quite a year, since February 19, 2006.

I actually don't visit R&S but I do hang out in Society and Culture, R&S questions are shown there as well.

I've been here in R&S for about a year and a half, on and off. I started coming in here more than any other section a year ago, when I became a Christian.

Before, I was more of a P&G regular.

And yes, this is my original account.

August of 2006. A little over a year. This is my second major account. My first account had been targeted by a report troll.

Over a year and a half I think. I made it to level 6 at least 4 times.
It might be closer to two years. They were still talking about how it was a new idea when I started using it.
