Hm, that's quite good news.
Disgustingly though, the death penalty is NOT prescribed for children who insult their parents or working on the sabbath which totally goes against what the bible says.

More laws like the sodomy should be struck down! And God can then see who really loves him and who doesn't.

The same influence that kept slavery legal for so long? The same influence that degraded the rights of women? I would hope to see less influence considering that the Constitution provides for separation of church and state and that Jefferson and Madison provided us with a great deal of insight to the sound reasons for avoiding the dogmatic influence of religion. As for a cursed nation, I would agree that it is a cursed nation that exists under the thumb of repressive and superstitious beliefs that infringe on our freedom to pursue happiness.

The USA existed for more than 100 years, closer to 200 years WITHOUT THOSE LAWS. Those laws were almost all 19th and 20th century inventions.
Are you saying the US was cursed before the laws were invented?

We are slowly learning that morality should not be civil law. One of the major reasons for this is that we do not all share the same moral system, this applies to Christians as well.
They are your morals, you follow them. Civil laws are to help society to function and to protect it and its citizens.
