When insulted (even if it was by an obvious troll or as a joke), most of them respond with humor. I have a feeling if the same question was posed to Christians, many more would be offended and only a few would take it so light-heartedly.

Point being: Christians would have thrown a hissy fit. Only one atheist responded with "reported." The rest...well, you guys crack me up.

Woosie: I know that some Christians have a sense of humor. I'm a Christian, and I consider myself a funny gal. What I'm saying is that on this site, Christians take themselves too seriously.

I fail to see what was insulting to us about that question.

Thanks!

I like people with a sense of humor. Plenty of Christians have one; some just don't seem to apply it to their religious beliefs.

I can agree with that. Most of the atheists on here crack me up. What a great sense of humor they have!

I sometimes respond with humor, but I have to say, when "religious" people start telling me that I'm going to hell for being gay, I can go on the warpath. It's such a sleazy indictment of who I am as a person, an attempt to make me some kind of sub-human "abomination" to God, just so that they can feel superior. I seriously HATE it, and frankly, I hate them. (Sorry to harp on it but it seems like it's really been ramped up lately - "Catholic Crusader" alone asks about 20 questions a day on this tack, which suggests to me that he has some unresolved issues of his own.) Other than that, though, it's hard not to laugh at most of the crap they say, and the fantasy land in which they live.

ah but you see that is because we are having fun and not getting grumpy because no one has signed up to our particular philosophy. bet the holies would be stuffed if we started discussing the universe from a scientific angle

I hope they don't find the picture of me with that goat! As for the socks, I just cannot stay away from the Indian motel!

Because the atheists prefer to show their intelligence instead of their @$$es?

Hey... I only answer honestly. Far be it from me to have the wit and wisdom to tell someone they're going to hell...

Actually, there is no correct answer to this question.
It is not a question. It is an opinion.
