"Part of overcoming Jesus's enemies is being violent when we need to be. If people reject Jesus we need to impose him on them. When they are facing eternal judgement they will be grateful"

I checked your recent Q's to find the 'offender', and the person that you quoted seems to be a parody troll.

There are enough valid reasons why religionists take 'heat', but this doesn't seem to be one of them.

There is only one answer to making enemies. Give all people the gospel that will save people souls if they believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross for their sins. If they reject this gospel then hell will be their eternal judgment. Revelation 20: 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. Revelation 20: 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. Revelation 20: 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

It could be. I'm not a fan of letting one voice speak for a group, especially a group as vast and diverse as Christianity. But for some reason the ones people see as spokespeople are usually more like Crimmsonandclover and less like a more reasonable, tolerant, intelligent Christian. Yes, the latter does exist.

Considering Jesus never imposed Himself on anyone, who would we be to try to do it? You can't MAKE someone believe something anyway, so that statement is completely ridiculous! People need to understand that this kind of statement is NOT Christian and that TRUE Christians, those of us who try to follow the teachings of Christ, do not follow this philosophy. I am personally sick and tired of being lumped in with these overbearing "praise God and pass the ammunition" type people! Jesus did not advocate violence, He did not try to force people to follow His way and He taught that we were not to be judgemental of our fellow human beings. Anyone who goes against this is NOT following the teachings of Jesus, period.

Amplified Bible (AMP)
Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears and listens to and heeds My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will eat with him, and he [will eat] with Me.
Revelation 3:19-21

We need to be smarter than Satan. To do this we need a good offense which is God's word. The only way to reach people is to be a good witness for Jesus. You can't bash someone over the head with the bible and tell them repent or parish.

I think the opposite is true. Peace is the real answer and violence and lack of free will is against what Jesus stands for. If so called Christians force their belief on others and condemn then for not believing, then they will be judged the same way they judge.

Whoever said that scares me. That statement completely contradicts what I've been raised to believe as a Christian. No one can force Jesus on others, no matter how hard they try.

Holy CRAP that person needs to be smacked upside the head. NOWHERE in Jesus' teachings did He EVER say to convert by force. He said that we are supposed to share the gospel, and if people refuse it, we're supposed to "dust off our feet" and leave.

That person needs to reread the Bible. I'd especially recommend the parts that are written in red. They're pretty important.

Please remember not all Christians are like that.

As a Christian, that offends me! Jesus never, ever forced anyone to accept him. Ever. He presented his message and people could accept it or reject it. Simple as that. It is the religious crowds that have distorted his words and his works.

Sounds like an atheist trolling as a Christian. Either that or it's the Pope.
