Some Christians think the flood happened but was localized instead of world-wide. Does this mean the people that were not killed were just as good as Noah? Were the native americans better than the people who were killed?

And if lots of animals survived anyway, why did he need to take all of them on the ark?

The question is, were there oceans pre-flood or just a few large bodies of water? The Bible says that most of the water was underground and that the earth broke forth. After long periods of time after the flood, the oceans became salt and the aquatic life adapted accordingly. What is really interesting is that when Jesus puts His foot on the mount of Olives, the mount will split and a fresh spring will burst fourth, drain into the Jordan, all the way down to the Dead Sea, and will heal the sea of its saltiness. The Bible says that the Dead Sea will be teaming with fish! If that can happen a quickly as that, how easy would it be for the opposite? For those who believe Skinut. Why do you call yourself a Christian? A Christian is one who emulates Christ. Jesus spoke of the Bible as literal. He did not call Jonah a myth. He did not say, "Oh, don't take that literally!" So, call yourself a Picknchooser. You get to pick what you think is true, and what is myth. Did Jesus die on the cross to redeam mankind from sin? Sorry, how can one man do that?-myth. No sacrifice for sin. You guys are building your house on sand because Christ is not the rock. How can He be the ONLY way?-myth. Better get your doctrine in order folks. Either believe the Bible or the idol of your own carving. But don't try to validate your arguments by calling yourself a Christian.

Let us believe the Bible, God's Holy Word. The flood covered the whole world as the Word of God so states. The Christians that believe in a localized flood do not know the Bible. God does what He says He will do.

No. It does not mean that the people, Noah's wife, daughters and son-in-laws were not as good as Noah, but God loved Noah and He did this for Noah.

God loved Abraham and God saved Lot for Abraham. It was Abraham who asked God to save Lot. God changed His mind in favor of Abraham and God often does this in our lives.

Yes, the native Americans were better. They were not violent continually or marrying and giving in marriage. I find no mention of fallen angels messing with Native Americans

Since the flood happened and it did indeed flood all of Noah's world, I'm going to assume that the Native Americans were not around at this point. Why do the idiots insist on taking minute details and pointing them out as if we Christians are going to say: "Oh man, that was a really compelling question! He may be right! There is no God!! Woe to me!" I think that we take it on faith that God knew what He was (and still does) doing when He flooded the world. It's absolutely hilarious how man STILL tries to skirt around God, and they can find no substantial evidence that there isn't one. Good luck!

Large areas of the Earth have flooded several times over the course of its history. Primitive people had no explanation for it, so they created myths and stories to explain it.

Now thousands of years later, complete and utter morons think it all actually happened the way the stories say, not the way that real scientific evidence shows it did.

Christians this...Christians that....
Why don't you leave Christians alone?
Stories of a great flood have been documented by pre- historic peoples all over the world...in every continent...from China to America.

Perhaps it was an otherworldly metaphor and Noah's "ark" was really a spaceship in which he brought the seeds of life to this planet from somewhere else in our galaxy. :-)

It's a metaphor. The flood didn't happen it just meant god was sad and alone in his apartment crying into his TV dinner.

This was backwhen he was a local deity. I guess he just had to get rid of all the Hebrews that were bad, since he wasn't anyone else's god.

You would have to ask the god Ea. Since he was the one who told Utnapishtim to save all the animals.
