I'm getting a lot of comments on the maturity level. Here is the deal, I met her and we talked and had a great time. i would have never guessed she was 18. i actually didn't find out until we talked on the phone for a second time. As for what stages we are in life, I am having problems dating girls my age b/c they all want a husband. Hope that helps! Thanks for all the great responces.

Nope I think this is fine. You will be very different though and sooner or later her immaturity will show.

Well, it's a little creepy and I can't see what the two of you would have in common. It's not the age difference it's how young she is. 18 yr olds still have the mentality of a high school girl. The maturity gap is enormous!! I'm 25 and am having a hard time thinking about dating a 21 yr old because of the maturity gap.

Its fine but you might get sick of the gap in your maturity levels. However I know an 18 year old and a 30 year old that are making plans for marriage.

hummmmm. as long as they are legal it shouldn't matter, but just think of it this way....what were you doing when you were 9 years old? AJust think......SHE WAS JUST BORN THAT YEAR. LMAO!!!! Good luck wish you the best with such a young girl. It probably won't last anyways because she is just growing up and getting a taste of freedom. Wait until she has experienced life or she will end up giving you that excuse when she dumps you.

I don't have a problem with the age difference so much as the difference in your stages of life - late twenties and late teens are two very different developmental stages in a person's life. I don't think it would work out.

no, it's not wrong. she's of legal age, but most 18 year old girls are very immature. the age gap will be difficult to bridge. remember, there's more to a relationship than physical attraction. brains do play in important part, so just make sure that she's your equal in that department.

If you find the age difference a bit awkward, take two girls out and be a baby.

as a Mom of a 19 year old. I am not crazy about it but I don't think there is really anything wrong with it.

maybe not wrong, but a bit weird. Besides, you met her in a bar. Go find someone who can LEGALLY drink!
Good Luck.

when you're at that age, it doesn't matter anymore. You two are obviously both legal so there shouldn't be a problem. As long as you both can be happy with each other, then great:) Good luck.
