By definition, a god will be all powerful, right? So what would he care if some animals he created (humans) on a one of the billions of planets he’s created (earth) adore and worship him?

Bizarre, isn't it. We're told that our position relative to god is like that of ants before a rather benevolent entomologist. But would an entomologist demand that his subjects worship him?

Or perhaps we're more like Lego constructions before their creator. Again - what deranged and narcissistic creator would demand adoration from these creations?

Indeed, what superior entity requires adoration and worship from his underlings at all? The answer is obvious: a HUMAN potentate.

We created gods and gave them the characteristics of the dictators and rulers we knew: vain, self-important despots who ruled by tyranny. And now people worship a fantasy figure less likeable than Saddam.

All gods want to be worshiped, otherwise is not called a 'god'.
Some people worship a being (can be a person) and in that case that being is their god. But then if no one worship that being then that being, well, is just a being.

He DESERVES to be.

He gave us free will to use it. and if by way of our experience, we realise that God IS responsible for all the good things that happen to us, then worship duly follows.
A loving God does not force anyone to worship Him. He earns it.

Because god is insecure and needs his creation to worship him for creating them.

So he can share his goodness with them.
And, their hearts have to open to him to receive it.

The main goal for us is that we can experience God.
