This question sounds offensive, but I'll assume that was not the intention:
I have been on other countries, but as you ask one...
I live in Peru, and that's where I want to stay, it has all what you may want, delicious food, warm and kind people, beautiful places, and lots of possibilities to grow.
Of course it is not a "first world" country, so the way of living is different, which is fine to me, considering all the news I hear from advanced countries such as the U.S., no offense intended.

I've been living in a Third World country (Costa Rica) for four years.
It's Ok, but there are problems like:(1) a high crime rate (especially burglaries) and a largely invisible and inefficient police force (you really have to depend on yourself and private security),(2) it can be hard to locate places becuase the streets have no names and the buildings have no numbers, (3) ubiquitous potholes.
A lot of Americans I know have moved from here to Thailand. One called it "First World living at Third World prices". But that was before the recent sharp decline in the dollar. You will be better off if you're getting paid in Euros.

I guess, just like here, it would depend on the situation. There will always be the lazy, looking for hand out, people. If a person is healthy, the right age to work and has no apparent mental incapacity's, then yes. I would be more than happy to give hand outs. Though, I prefer to offer food or clothing than cash. The exception to that rule is if there are children. I wil give anything to a child or a mother of a child in good faith that her children will benefit.

What is a third world country? The one where its people don't have an universal medical insurance? Or where the childs in school are not safe at all? Or the one whose president doesn't give a sh** about a whole region under a menace of a hurricane? Or a country where the white, black and foreign people are always in huge disagreement?
