this is for all the bartenders and liquor experts. some people tell me that real men only drinks bear and shots while sophisticated men drink martinis and anything sweet is strictly for ladies and queers(no offense just quoting). Does what some drinks have any thing to do with their personality? by the way my favorite drink is a white rum collins.

I'm not sure about all that.... When I'm out, it depends on what kind of cash I have to spend. If I don't have much money, I stick with bottled beer. Otherwise the choice is mine - shots, mixed drinks, whatever!
And a lot of it probably depends on what type of establishment you are at.

I think it does, your martini drinkers are usually more sophisticated, they know what they want, how to get it and how to make it (martini drinkers are very picky about how they want their drinks made) Your beer drinkers are usually more of your good ol boys as they just want to have a good time. You cant judge someone on what they drink unless that is the only thing they drink, IE: I don't have just one drink that I always want. If someone has a signature drink then you can dentally tell alot about them.

It does to some extent, but only so much as it's people following trends.

Martinis are popular these days, so lots of people are ordering them. But most are sweet, definitely not your James Bond version.

As for beer, wine, etc. It depends on the event. Drinking red wine in the sun, isn't nearly as a good cold beer.

i agree with what tara.cos says, If i were a drinker, I would want to try the kalhua ( sp??) caramel, mint, vanilla , or hazelnut liquors, and i liked the white chocolate liquor I had when i was younger. It was just a shot, but mixed with milk and vanilla ice cream, it was divine!
