*****Christ's angels will smite all the opposers of God's kingdom and his kingdom witnesses with a terrible destruction. A flesh-eating plague will destroy many. Says Jehovah: "Their flesh shall rot wile they are still on their feet, their eyes shall rot in their sockets, and their tongues shall rot in their mouths." (Zechariah 14;12, RS) Eaten up will be the tongues of those who scoffed and laughed at the warning of Armageddon! Eaten up will be the eyes of those who refused to see the sign of the "time of the end"! Eaten up will be the flesh of those who would not learn that the living and true God is named Jehovah! Eaten up while they stand on their feet! ****

For those of you that do not think that this is a dangdrous cult, and they will do anything to forward their cause, will this passage, taken from their Childs book, make you take a second look at them?

29 Dead bodies will be everywhere--from end to end of the earth. Says Jehovah: "I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth." Ungathered, unburied, unwept for, the bodies will be like so much fertilizer on the ground, just as the Bible says: "The slain of Jehovah shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the face of the ground."--Jeremiah 25:29, 33, AS.

And to make sure that this image was instilled in the minds of these childrren they were confronted with these pictures of Armageddon.

They told me that If I loved my son, then I couldn't allow these things to happen to him because I had left their faith, and I should hand him over to them to be raised as a Witness....After thinking aoub what they had told me, I tried to take my own life.

Update...I have been a real christian now for 6 years, and have studied witness dogma for over 40 years.....This is not one of those religions that you can come to salvation through, it is a brainwashing cult, and needs to be exposed.

This is the one of the worst pieces of hogwash I have heard in a good while. Unfortunately such tales of incredulous fables will get the full attention of the naive or those of a vendetta in their nature.
Such websites that Unsilenced Lamb links to that discriminate are simply deplorable in their hate they they could concoct anything they like and brand it as actual "news".

Often it does good for the sincere hearted person because postings like this advertises the nonsense that is thrown at Jehovah's Witnesses and they can intelligently ascertain the sensationalized garbage they see for themselves.

I am no stranger to unsilenced lamb's quirky other postings either. She has them on hide but I have other Id's that have her questions and comments listed.
It makes sometimes fascinating readings albeit being of fiction rather than anything of fact.

I'm not a mother but i'll try my best to see things from your POV

I'm a JW with no plans to leave, but i respect that not everyone will stay and that is their own choice and i deeply respect other beliefs. I cannot understand why this has been done to you. I live in Scotland and i know 100% that elders would never try to make a parent give up their child if they left the religion. there is a great respect for parents and the only way they would try to do this is if the child was in danger, which i'm sure your child wasn't in. The only explanation is you have been in a unique position that no-one would want to be in.

I have looked into many other religions and i keep coming back to this one. As i said before i do respect other religions and non-believers opinions. I wouldn't call this religion a cult as catholics and other christian based religions follow the same principles. a cult also involves having a leader , and like most religions JW's follow God. We don't worship anyone else or think anyones better than others. I do thinkwe take the BIble principles to extreame, but only when compared to Christindom, but why have principles if your just going to water them down like many others do?

These are my own opinions not meaning to offend. Please try to forget the horrible incident and continue to serve God in the way you can.

we are no longer against celebrations or festivities in the event that they don't have pagan origins. We rejoice anniversaries, graduations, homecomings, abode "warmings" and a super form of alternative issues and celebrating a clean arrival isn't a occasion we come across scripturally objectionable. infants are a present day from God and all dad and mom settle for congratulations for this chuffed journey. Such congratulations and presents are hardly presented solely interior the 1st 24 hours of the childs beginning or retricted to that day, particularly they're presented for the time of the term (hours, days or weeks) after the surely beginning**. a good thank you to perceive the adaptation between a occasion of a beginning and the celebration of the DAY of that beginning then is that "birthDAY" celebrations are limited to the 24 hours of the calender date of the beginning and are first celebrated 365 days after the beginning no longer on the day of the beginning. This each and every year ritual of celebrating on the day of a individual's beginning is steeped with religous/pagan superstition at the same time as the acceptance of presents and congratulations for a clean born infants arrival isn't; that's basically a common custom devoid of non secular or pagan magnitude. **in spite of everything if a toddler have been born 5 minutes to midnight, that could supply buddies and kinfolk in common terms 5 minutes to "rejoice" the (beginning) DAY.

The asker knows as well as any informed person that the Witnesses realise that the responsibility of raising a child is the parents', and no one else's, and unless for some reason the parent cannot raise the child or may prove to be harmful to the child, then it can be raised by others (That's how the whole world works)

God's directive to PARENTS:
“These words that I am commanding you today must prove to be on your heart; and you must inculcate them in your son and speak of them when you sit in your house and when you walk on the road and when you lie down and when you get up.” (Deuteronomy 6:6, 7)

She does not give the complete details about what exactly those ones meant when they said she should give up her child, but that was not an official Watchtower directive, so I don't see how the whole religion is brought in to this.

(Unsilenced lamb- this is a futile work you are doing. If you have become a Christian as you say, then do what Christ did- teach others the truth about God's Kingdom, not blinding them further like the Pharisees!)

I will not be surprised if this gets me blocked! :-D

Christ did not intend his messages to be preached with fear and indignity. He spoke of love and forgiveness and did not want followers believing in him as if they did not torture and violence would fall upon them. God himself stated the devastation's caused by his floods were in excess. The New Testament which speaks of compassion and love seems to be a misinformed by the Jehovah witness. These messages do not fit their needs as the key word for them is punishment out of their arrogance. Without question they are a dangerous cult. Not only for teaching that misery is a consequence, but encouraging that free will be abandoned, which is the whole basis for this life, choices made to honor Christ.

it's your child and you decide how to raise him. My family does not decide anymore about my religious beliefs. And I'm never telling my parents how to raise my little sisters. Then why do witnesses feel they have the right to impose their beliefs. And how can they say if you love your son or not, They can't read human hearts. And i had nightmares as a child because of the Jehovah's Witnesses art.

You know what you had a reason for leaving their faith. I don't know what it was and its your business, but if you left why would you listen to them tell you what you should do with your son. If you had succeeded in taking your own life, your son would be right where you don't want him, and maybe you didn't think about that then, but think about him now. The best place for a child is with its mother, provided she is able to give him a stable and loving environment. Seek counseling, talk to a friend or someone neutral, pray and ask God for guidance. Good Luck and may God bless you.

Don't let them do this to you. If you are raising your child to love Jesus, teaching the word of God, and His works, you're raising the child right. They are wrong. Jesus loves all His children and wants the very best for all of them as well. My Jesus has room in heaven for all His children not just 144,000 people. I'd like to tell them this. We all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. They need to repent.
