The Senate is debating over the Sea treaty
which no president yet has signed. It gives
power to the United Nations, could cause another
tax imposed on US citizens, over rules our
constitution, and christains that study prophecy
have always heard the UN will have control over
the world, its up to 70% now. And this is where
the antichrist will run his agenda from.. any thoughts
now that this document is on the table again??
Its like watching the movie Left Behind, but live.

You must have watched Glenn Beck last night, huh?

He made the UNCLOS III (referred to as L.O.S.T. by detractors) seem more scary than it really is by stating that it "controls 70% of the world!" Of course, the 70% are the seas, not land.

Wiki has a great article on UNCLOS, you might want to look that up.

I understand what you're saying re: the UN issue; but I think the entity to look at is the European Union, not the UN, which is pretty powerless. Prophecy tells us to look for the following in succession:

1) the rebirth of an enlarged Roman Empire (generally agreed by most Christians to be the European Union);

2) the rise of 10 "kings" from within the reborn Roman Empire;

3) the deaths of 3 of these "kings;"

4) the rise of the Antichrist;

5) under the Antichrist's rule, the reborn Roman Empire will cover the entire earth.

We are seeing the baby steps toward the 10 even today. For example, despite GWB's closed mouth on the subject, Vincente Fox confirmed that, within our lifetimes, there will be a unified North American Union comprised of Canada, the US and Mexico, and perhaps some of the South American countries as well. This NAU will have a new currency: the Amero. It makes total sense that the NAU will be one of the 10 -- particularly after America is devastated by the nuclear attack that's coming sooner than most of us expect. If you want to read more, I highly recommend Jerome Corsi's book on the subject, titled 'The Late Great U.S.A.: The Coming Merger With Mexico and Canada'.

I havent heard about this. I need to look into it. Interesting!!!!But to comment on some of your statements. I don't believe Left Behind was a good sound biblical movie. It made people think the wrong idea concerning the coming of God.Other than that I really don't know if the UN will be the power behind the Antichrist. I lean more toward the European Union. We understand that the Antichrist will ride the back of the great whore and if you will except this.....the Catholic church. It is prophecied within the Catholic church that the next pope is going to be evil. And that isn't my thoughts that is their own church's . Just food for thought.

That isn't how international law works. Signing a UN treaty does absolutely nothing, a state still needs to incorporate it into their domestic legislation. And breaking a treaty only leads to consequences in the extremely rare situation in which the Security Council decides to do something. And the US is in practice immune to that process. As the world's only superpower, the US is considerably more equal than the other states.

I think the UN will be central to the Antichrist's dealings but the book of revelation says his most strong assocation will be with Rome. The beast (antichrist) will be from the muslims areas and so this city is much closer to its purpose than NYC, There is something called the Club of Rome now which is headed by a muslim prince. It is a peace oriented organization, and the members are called "champions of the world."

I knew long before the Left Behind movies that the U.N. was ungodly and the real control. I learned this way back in the 1960's in Bible Study in Church. I am seeing what we studied come to pass.

Gee thanks got the thumbs down! Such lovely people!

UNCLOS is a bad treaty, yes, but it does not impose taxation. It forces member nations to decide maratine soverignity through comittee.
