Abortion without any risk? Risk of what? Death? Yes, your child will die. The risk of death to your baby is 100%. The abortionist will locate the child by listening for a heartbeat to confirm that there is a living baby and then kill it.

i think there would be risks..but at 4-5 months the fetus aleady looks like a real baby, you know that i mean? im 5 months pregnant and when i first got my sonnogram,i was shocked at how baby-like it is now..if you want to have an abortion,it's your choise, and i know you're not asking for my opinion but why dont u think about it long and hard? think about what you would feel years from now when you look back to it. just a suggestion..but really, there would be health risks,i would think,if you get an abortion now..but it's still possible..

Four Months Old Pregnancy

why oh why oh why would you ask a question like that in the ADOPTION section? People here are either adopted, birthparents, or looking to adopt. As an adoptee, I'm honestly insulted. Half of the people on here are desperatly wanting a baby, and you come asking how to kill one?

If you had done your research, you'd know that after the first trimester, abortion becomes increasingly cruel and painful. By 5 months, the baby is too big to simply suck out.
Look up partial birth abortions, saline solution, and dilation/curettage. I'm going to go into graphic detail here, but you asked for information. If you dont want to know or you cant handle it, dont read any farther.

Partial birth involves delivering everything but the head of the baby, inserting sissors into the neck, and using a high power vacuum to suck the brains out of the live child. Saline solution involved injecting the amniotic sac with saline, which burns the outer layers of flesh off the child. You'll feel it thrashing around inside you while, at this gestation, while its dying. Dilation and curettage is when the doctor uses an instrument that looks like pliars to rip off parts off the child. They fish around until they find a body part, twist, and out it comes. Eventually they get most of the baby out, but sometimes they accidently leave pieces behind.

It has been recorded that sometimes a baby survives the abortion. Sometimes the doctor slips during a partial birth and accidently delivers the whole baby. When this happens, its a huge liability to the clinic. Doctors have been caught beating newborns to death with medical instruments, placing them in trash bags to suffocate, tossing them in buckets of water to drown, and leaving them alone in closets for hours without medical attention until they die. Go read the book Lime 5, its full of documented cases such as this.

Since you asked how long an abortion takes, Im assuming that you dont want to be bothered by a long proceedure. You think that having something forcibly removed from your womb is a quick, easy thing? Women have been maimed and killed during abortion. Again, read Lime 5.. Potential problems can include have baby bits left behind in your uterus, which can lead to life threatening infection. Also, having your uterus punctured by the scapel or by bits of sharp bone. If the abortionist doesnt notice, its possible to have your intestines sucked out through the vacuum. It's happened many times in the past and will happen many times in the future.

If you're already 5 months pregnant, you're probably showing. Why not give your child a chance at life? I think its a little bit careless to wait until 5 months gestation to get an abortion. 4 months from now, you can give a childless or infertile couple the baby that they want so badly. If you dont want it, someone else will take it into their home and do the very best they can.

Did you know that sometimes babies are born at 23 or 24 weeks and survive? The official age of viability, I belive, is 26 weeks, but babies have been known to survive as young as 20 weeks, though admittedly, that is rare. It is quite common now for a 24 weeker to survive and grow into a completely healthy child.

I have a feeling that I'm going to get all kinds of negative rating, which is fine with me. Anyone can google the different types of abortion. I know that they're is some controversy over when an unborn child begins to feel pain, but if you look at pictures of aborted babies, you'll see. You can actually watch videos of abortions being performed. You can watch an ultersound while an abortion is performed. Look at the baby while its being killed and tell me it doesnt hurt. Either way, most experts agree that an unborn child can feel pain by 5 months.

So hate me if you want. I've done my research and I know my stuff. If you dont want to know, dont ask next time.

Why did you not decide on this about three months earlier?

FYI, at this stage of pregnancy, the fetus is considered viable and no doctor will touch you. Stick it out the extra four months and (if you absolutely have to) leave the hospital after giving birth and never look back. Safe haven laws were created for irresponsible women like you.

And I should also mention that the fetus will feel pain. Not right, not right at all. I am pro choice, but not this far along.

At that stage of pregency abortion should only be an option if there is major risk to mothers and or babys life. The unborn child(thats what it is , a tiny human life) already has a heartbeat, limbs, facial structer and many other very real alive qualities.Any abortion at this stage will be very risky to the woman and is basicly induced labor whereas the fetus will die during bith or just after due to undeveloped vital organs.Surely adoption is an option worth considering rather than being responcible for ending the life you are carrying in your womb. You most likely will hate yourself in the future at some time. THINK ABOUT IT. You should have done it in first 3 months before the heart developed if you intended not to have it.Or better still use contraception.

no, there is very high risk. i'm not sure about it, but after that long, you would almost need a medical reason to abort the child. there are only certain states that will do it. i know kansas is one of them. the process takes 2 days, assuming you have no complications. the first day they insert this little thing to open your cervix. the procedure is the following day. it's pretty expensive, somewhere around $700.

I am totally not familiar with this miscarriage pill. Obviously the best place for medical advice would be from a Doctor. Then you'll get the facts without anyone personal opinion on abortion.

Let me just say that while I don't know much about the specifics of your question, I do know about abortion, at 17, I had one, I'm now 42, and not one day goes by that I do not think of it and regret it and miss that baby, don't do it, you'll never forgive yourself for it. Trust me. Take it from someone who knows.

Why would you do that? At that age a lot of the baby has formed already. I'm sorry, but I think that's terrible. I hope you think hard about that. When you see that lifeless baby that they take out of you, you will never be able to change your mind.

i know people who have been adopted and are grateful. it sounds like someone here had a bad experience, but that's not everyone. the death the baby suffers at this point is very painful. their hearts race when it happens. my neighbor delivered at 5 months and her little boy is totally healthy. i know it is rare to deliver that early with out problems, but it's possible so abortion can't be justified. please consider letting someone who can't have one of their own love yours.
