Has anyone put their dog through UK quarantine???
Was he the same when he came out or has his personality changed?
Is it best to keep visiting him or to wait until its over incase of upseting him?

it is still necessary im afraid - unless you are just passing through the uk, for a short time, then you can use the pet passport scheme.
defra has the official website which explains the procedure.
it sucks really, i dont know what to suggest, i would visit him as often as you can, i dont think it will change his personality, make sure you put him in a quarantine kennel that walks him daily and is a homey as possible.
dont forget some dogs run away and arent found for a year and they still love their owners when they get back.

You don't have to do the quarantine if you plan early enough.
