The first thing that someone should be considering is whether the idea of sin is actually real.
If God is supposed to be perfect how could She have made anything or anyone that wasn't perfect.
Think about it. The idea of sin assumes certain things about God that seem highly unlikely.
First it assumes a God who is too incompetent to organize a simple educational field excursion and figure out a way to get all of the students home safely.
How likely is this that God would not be smart enough to come up with a plan for our salvation that is going to work 100 percent of the time?
It also assumes that God must have created us imperfect if we are sinners.
One might assume that God would be able to create someone perfect each and every time if he chose to. Assuming God is capable of this, then it follows logically that we must be perfect creations if we are actually creations of this perfect God.
Unless of course you are saying that God chose to create us imperfect.
If God created us imperfect then anything that may go wrong is Gods fault, not ours. This seems a bit illogical at best so I think that we need to assume that What God creates would have to be perfect.
If this is the case and Gods creations are perfect, then nothing that we can do could change what God created perfect and make it imperfect unless we think that we are more powerful than God is.
How likely is it that we the creation could be more powerful than the creator. I personally find this idea somewhat amusing, and a bit absurd.
Religion tells us that God is perfect. If this is true then it could hardly be logically for Gods creations to be considered to be anything less than perfect.
If this is the case and we are perfect creations of a perfect God then Nothing that we can ever do could possibly change this perfection that God willed, unless we were so powerful that our choices could override and change the will of God.
How likely is that????
Think about it.

Homosexuality is a conscious choice. man will always claim that they were "born that way" but not according to the Lord. man will always make an excuse for his sin but it doesn't wash with God! the very reason the Lord destroyed the 2 cities if Sodom and Gomorrah was for that very reason. We are told in the Bible that in the last days this would become rife and we see it happening all around us today. Rest assured, the Lord has already judged the matter as he said that those who commit such acts will be given over to a reprobate mind and they can do whatever they like as the day of judgment is reserved for them.

Simple God did not create a gay person. They were not sitting in there mothers stomach thinking man I can't wait to get out and find me another homosexual. NO they grew up and made that choice on there own, it is just an excuse that gays say to make it seem like it's God's fault. Just think about what you said, God calls it an abomination right? Leviticus 23:18. Now if God calls it this why would he create this? Exactly He doesn't it's free will, it is the choice of that gay person to be that way.

I am Bi. It's another sin amongst many. The Bible is clear on that. Yet, the Bible also says that we are all sinners. So in other words - we are all screwed.
So what's the point? Trust God and then you will have peace with Him. Jesus promised us the Holy Spirit if we trust him, and through His Spirit He guides us to the things we wants us to do and to be.
It's beyond the Fundies to figure this out - I think they don't really trust Him, they are taught to behave in certain ways - but without the trust that Jesus said we must have.
So I will trust God, as I have, and they can trust in themselves to live by a behavior code all they want!

We are all carnal. Human beings are we with human impulses and desires. But do we not have the privilege of choice? Do we not have the ability to make decisions?
Even though their are a slew of varied viewpoints on this topic, ALL these viewpoints do not matter as far as if gay or straight is right or wrong. Why? Because what will be, will be. Whether it is wrong or right is regardless. Eventually, EVERYTHING WILL BE AWARDED with its corresponding consequence.
Now I'm not saying beliefs do not matter. Beliefs are extremely integral components that help in defining who we are. EVERYONE believes in SOMETHING.
Here is what I do and don't believe:
I don't believe God made "them" that way. I believe SEXUAL PREFERENCE IS A PREFERENCE aka a choice. Just like one may prefer a blond over a brunette. Its a preference. Again, a choice we make. A choice that is made from NATURAL human impulses and desires.
There are many natural human impulses and desires, some good, and some bad. Obviously, bad impulses should be suppressed.
I am not defining what is good, bad, right or wrong, but I BELIEVE HUMANS ARE INNATELY BORN KNOWING RIGHT FROM WRONG.
And even if they know right from wrong and they choose wrong because it is fun or that is their preference, they will make excuses for their wrong choice or try to justify their choice so much so that they believe it to be right themselves.
Not only do they convince themselves their wrong is right, but they want everyone else to believe their wrong is right. Some may even throw parades flaunting their wrongness and want laws changed and special accommodations made for their wrongness.
We are all free to choose. But we are not free to choose our consequences. - Joshua K

First of all I am not an expert and its only my opinion. God created us in His image, He gave us all a sense of intelligence to allow us to decide our futures. He doesn't make mistakes. He created ALL. Its truly our choice what we want to do with it. To do right or wrong. The rules are in the Bible,(Ten Commandments), of which most people decide what they want and not what is good, main reason they place themselves in a situation or place and go with the flow of society instead of standing up for what is right. I have fallen in this life time, many times and get up and try again. And will continue to get back up and ask again for forgiveness for the end result in my opinion is far better than the later. God Bless and hope this gives you a better or maybe another way to stay in the road of bettering yourself and to become a role model of your peers.

What makes you think God made them that way? I'm getting so tired of hearing that, if you assume God makes people the way they are then you would have to think that God made the pedophiles lust after children and the incestful to lust after relatives.
It's a sexual perversion, and the reason it's wrong is because God made a man for a woman so any soul mates ideas that are in Christianity would only be acceptable with a man and a woman.
If you follow ANY belief system that states God made man and woman, then you'd have to think that.

God did not make the homosexual. But there is good news. Through the blood of Christ they can be saved from eternal damnation by confessing their sin (homosexuality is a sin and a perversion)in front of man and believing that JESUS died on that cross for your sin, as truely there is only one sin ,disobedience to GOD"S word and he was raise from the dead, and to willfully try to be obedient to GOD. When the homosexual does this ,YES, he/she will be accepted. And YES GOD loves all of us and we do all fall short of his glory and we all are sinners. Only through JESUS CHRIST can we get into heaven. The very beginning of the bible says it all about the institution of marriage between a man and a woman.Genesis 2:24, "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother and shall cleave unto his wife, and they shall be one flesh" .. This was the first marriage, between a man and a woman, not man to man or woman to woman, such is GOD'S will... I hope this helps and I will pray for you that you seek JESUS...John 3:16 says "For GOD so loved the world he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perrish but have everlasting life" and John 3:17, "For GOD did not send his son into the world to condemn it but to save the world through him" ..."Him" being Jesus CHRIST...Please consider what I have said...May GOD bless you! GOD did not create the homosexual.. Satan was the creator of homosexuality.... It is immoral and sholld not be spread through the liberal media where our kids can see it.

i strongly believe that when u come to christ you realise when ur living in sin, and then its up to u to change.
doesnt the bible say that all good and perfect gifts come from our father above? if so, God didnt destin anyone to become homosexual. its just a very strong temptation that makes ppl believe they are meant to be that way.
i have struggled with homosexuality, believe me, i do know what im talking about.
and God is a God of grace. he forgives everyone when they come to him, and helps us be the person he destined us to be. :)
ps: for conversation sake, to the person who says its not mentioned in the bible- please, go read yours again, for instance
1 Corinthians 6:9. there are also other passages that raise the subject, its mentioned quite a few times. and also talks about the sodomites... go figure.

God didnt make anyone homos. Sin entered the world and thus imperfections came about. Such as the people of sodom and gamorrah. If someone does have those feelings they have to fight them and not practice them.
