First up, I wouldn't vote for them because they focus on just one issue, and any serious party bidding for government needs a manifesto.
My spiritual views are undisturbed by their ideas, but the ideas themselves....
1) I don't give a stuff about public nudity, although anyone practicing it in the Canadian winter probably needs psychological help and medical treatment for hypothermia.
2) Legalizing porn and adult entertainment - sure, it works very well here in Australia. It has kept sex workers much safer from aggressive clients, given them the right to demand condoms, and provided clients with the security of knowing prostitutes have cleared STD tests.
3) Sexual care and surrogacy. Works just fine in the Netherlands, so sure, why not.
4) Censorship issues - fully agree with their stance here. Likewise Toys and Gatherings.
Education and study agree with the tolerance section, think the gradualism is frankly a load of bunk. Not enough emphasis placed on safe sex/contraception, and far to prescriptive about how people "should" behave and "what's the best way" blah! That's not very liberated. Have different people from different walks of life, across the age spectrum discuss their experiences in a positive way. None of this "my way or the highway" stuff.
All in all, a good synthesis of existing legislation already enacted in Australia and the Netherlands, with good ideas about tolerance and some rather well meaning ones about education that could probably do with a bit of careful revision.
Wonder how many votes they will get :-)

Interesting. I agree to an extent.
Sex is an important part of life, though according to my religious beliefs, one should only have sex if they're married (this helps protect against STDs and unwanted pregnancies, also).
I don't believe sex should be stigmatized, but I also don't think that any child should be learning about sex in school until just before puberty (so around ages eight to nine), and of course it should be age appropriate.
While I myself do not watch pornography, I understand that other people do. So there shouldn't be a restriction against it, as long as all those participating in the film are over the age of 21 (or 18, depending on the laws of the land).
I don't agree with swingers parties, strip clubs, prostitution or anything like that, but I understand that other people do. So they shouldn't be illegal either, and prostitutes should be protected. They are still human beings, even if I don't agree with their profession.
As for the sex shops, I never noticed that in the U.S., or at least, not in Washington. We have Castle, which is REALLY nice, and many other sex shops. I feel perfectly comfortable in them, and so do most of my female friends. They're not seedy at all. I did, however, notice that in Paris, the sex shops are quite seedy. They're all in a pretty bad part of the city. I didn't see any in the more "touristy" sections of Paris. It's the same in Germany, which is funny, since Europe is supposed to be so "enlightened" when it comes to sex.
I agree with some of their platform, but not all of it.

As a whole, religion has too much to say about sexual behavior! Some of what is in that party, would be very good! More open attitudes about sex! More information, and education would be good!
Teaching the use of condoms to prevent STD's, and unwanted pregnancy would be good!
This country absolutely has too many hang ups about sex, and that created trouble in the form of rapists, child molester, and pediaphiles!
Being taught that sex is dirty also creates potential marital problems!
The two top issues in this country are; money, and sex! Everything else is an afterthought! That doesn't say much about this country! It is sad, but true!
It is strange that other countries that have a society that is more open about sex, had less sex crimes! countries that have legal prostitution have less rapes!
We need to wake up, and lighten up about sex! Otherwise we will be in trouble, with more, and more sex crimes!

Baha'is do not get involved in partisan politics. Partisan politics is by nature divisive. If a Baha'i chooses to vote, it must be without having to be affiliated with a political party. A Baha'i would vote on the person's personal merit and qualification for the job at hand and for no other reason.

They are insane! Sexuality being taught in schools from a biologic point of view of view is fine, but what htese people are suggesting would lead to a mass exodus from Canada or at least a mass exodus from the public school system. If they tried that here in the states, I would pull every one of my children from the public school system immediately! I would probably move too, because there is no way I would want to go to the park and have to shield my eyes the entire time I was there!

I didn't read all of it, however one thing is for sure, society on the whole is far to uptight about sex, which in turn creates very unhealthy attitudes towards it and no doubt causes all sorts of hang ups which could be easily avoided if people were more open.
A woman showing a bit of breast is a public outcry but people fighting, and beating each other up on TV is fine....
We are sending some terrible messages to our kids.

There is a difference between legitimate and registered. This is a registered party in British Columbia, but not yet federal. It is not legitimate in that it does not address any issues other than sex.

I think it is a very BAD idea to encourage sexual behavior in teens. It will just lead to more teen pregnancies and STD's, not to mention all kinds of social and emotional problems.
I think teens should have sex ed and should learn about contraception, since many of them are already sexually active. But encouraging teens to become sexually active before they are ready or when they don't want to is a BIG mistake.
Oh, and for the survey, I'm Catholic.

No, I most definitely will not vote for them. I understand what they're saying about some things, like a healthy sex attitude, but people are already sexually depraved as it is, why add to that?
They're going to teach kids to have a healthy attitude towards sex, and that means saying it's ok to have sex with anyone, at any time.
This is just another mark of the world going downhill.
It took awhile for what I read in the article to actually sink in. I posted my answer without really reading it. Now I have and I can't stop crying because I can't stop thinking about what those people are really doing and what's going to happen to anyone who follows that.

I think I would fantasize about it, but ultimately vote square. Sex is all good AT a party, but probably not so good AS a party.
