I don't believe in any religion, but I also can not say none of them are true, all I feel is that people should accept people for who they are and not let religion be something that will keep them different.

Luke 12:51
Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:

Jesus Christ is the only way everything else is thieves and robbers.

John 10
1Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

2But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

3To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

4And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

5And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

6This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them.

7Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

8All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.

9I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

10The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

11I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

12But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.

13The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.

14I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

15As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

16And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

17Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

18No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

19There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings.

20And many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him?

21Others said, These are not the words of him that hath a devil. Can a devil open the eyes of the blind?

22And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter.

23And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch.

24Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.

25Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.

26But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

27My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

28And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

29My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

30I and my Father are one.

31Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.

32Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?

33The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

34Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?

35If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

36Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?

37If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.

38But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.

39Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped out of their hand,

40And went away again beyond Jordan into the place where John at first baptized; and there he abode.

41And many resorted unto him, and said, John did no miracle: but all things that John spake of this man were true.

42And many believed on him there.

The reason I am so closed minded about religion is because of the zealots and those that try to shove it down my throat.

The only religion I need is the Golden Rule.

That is the bases of all religions. Yet many in those religions have lost that basic concept.

If we'd really live by that simple ideal, killing and war would be rare, and helping our fellow man would be normal, instead of just as rare.

Peace

You arent closeminded basically via fact which you come to a definitive end as long as you have regarded on the variations and have been open to truly finding in any respect aspects of the undertaking. i might anticipate each and every non secular sect to have faith they have the completed certainty otherwise why might they exist and why might everyone be a piece of it in the event that they theory it became into by some skill incorrect. My undertaking is while church homes experience the could desire to concentration greater on why yet another church is misguided particularly of specializing in why they're authentic. in case you may desire to bash yet another church to make your church seem greater acceptable then there could desire to no longer be very a lot substance on your church. God will decide us in accordance to our hearts, expertise and expertise. There are diff paths to progressing ones spirituality and all of us is at a diff place of their progression. As a Mormon I do have faith that my church has the priesthood authority and the completed gospel plan, yet that doesnt mean that there are no longer good concepts which could learn in all church homes. i think of a few human beings in all religions, alongside with Mormons, are in for a impolite awakening as quickly as they die if their concentration their finished life has been why they're greater acceptable than all of us else. I understand the inducement in the back of why different church homes desire to "shop my soul" If its coming from a good place and heart then I have not any objections to them attempting. What I merchandise to is the 0.5 truths and outright lies different church homes tell approximately what that's we've faith. that's no longer a contest for souls. How everyone could have faith a loving God might condemn a individual to hell for no longer somewhat getting each and all of the small print superb is previous me. that's approximately non secular progression. If a faith feels they have a message to proportion which will help others of their non secular progression then it relatively is the superb motivation to circulate out and attempt to proportion that message. in the journey that your message is basically to instruct why all of us else is misguided and to scare all of us into believing your church is right, properly then you extremely could desire to ask if it relatively is relatively going to get everyone to have an honest concept in what that's you're telling them.

I don't believe in god or satan or anything for that matter. I'm not a bad person and I do whats right and expected of me. I think that all these beliefs are imaginary friends for adults. I used to believe in god but then there were several tragedies in my life that made me start thinking. If there was a god why didn't he stop this and people have said to me "God didn't do it" Well, he didn't stop it either. Then and there I realized that it was all a game. I don't try and persuade people to not believe or question that they want to believe in satan or god, but you have to realize that some people are strong believers and if they that's what they choose you should understand and consider how they feel and not just yourself and your beliefs. If you don't want these people to question your beliefs then don't question theirs.

this is what bugs people, there are so many religious denominations denouncing each other and refuting each others beliefs, how does any logical thinking person place creedence on any of them...They expound their goodness, but its a historical fact, that there have been more wars and bloodshed because of religion than any other reason...SHAME on anyone who causes grief to another, religious beliefs are just an excuse... there are no facts.. just parental brainwashing handed down from generation to generation..and encouraged by the paedophilic or money hungry church officiates for their own gain or satisfaction..

Because religion is "received" wisdom (i.e. is not based on evidence or experience), there is no rational process of assessment. Furthermore, people tend to get defensive and haughty when they believe something they cannot logically explain. Hence the attitudes.

It is really funny, when you think about it, that if there is a supreme being out there he would waste his time worrying about what kind of foods we eat or underwear we wear. Think maybe we're a little to full of ourselves and our sense of importance? I'm too busy to worry about Mitt Romney's dressing habits; I doubt the supreme creator has more time than me to devote to stuff like that!

FIRST OF ALL THERE IS ONE GOD, AND PEOPLE WANT TO BE IN CONTROL SO ITS HARD FOR THEM TO SAY THAT SOMETHING ELSE IS IN CHARGE, OR HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE WAY LIFE IS. TOTAL SURRENDER AND SACRIFICE IS NOT ON SOCIETY'S AGENDA. AND FOR SOME PEOPLE, THEY JUST LIKE TO BE RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING, THESE ARE CLOSED MINDED SELFRIGHTIOUS PERSONS. I FEEL YOU HAVE TO HAVE A SOFT HEART AND BE RESPECTFUL OF OTHER PEOPLE, THEN YOU CAN UNDERSTAND THAT WHATEVER A PERSONS RELIGIOUS BELIEFS THEY SHOULD BE RESPECTED. RELIGION IS A SET OR DIRECTIONS THAT INSTRUCT ONE IN HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN A ACTIVITY. THE GOAL IS TO HAVE A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.

It is not easy to be open minded....for most people. It means you are willing to other viewpoints and perhaps adjust your own based on new information. It means you have to learn and grow. We do not always grow upwards, in a straight line. Sometimes we grow outwards, like a branch. The Bible in fact tells us that the Messiah is like a branch.
A spiritual path is one of constant learning and exploration. Many people just want to sign their name on a dotted line and join a club.

People love their prejudices more than they love unity in diversity. When we give up our need to have others be a certain way before we can accept them and their beliefs, we will free ourselves from the crippling malady of prejudice.

If your question could be answered, you might just find the key to world peace.

I think most people on here take themselves too seriously. They can dish it out but alas, they cannot take it in.

Most of the people on here are under the age of 25 (or at least that's how they sound). If a question warrants a thoughtful answer, many of us are willing to give one. But in general, people get what they get.

Personally, I'm just as willing to pick on my own beliefs (for no belief system is flawless) as I am someone else's.

Peanut Butter,
I appreciate your thinking. I am Christian but I also believe that people have a right to their own beliefs as long as they do not interfere with the religious beliefs of others. GOD gave us "free will" so that we would have an opportunity to choose to serve HIM or not. Have a great week.
Thanks,
Eds
