Peace and Love

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. Love does not demand its own way. Love is not irritable, and it keeps no record of when it has been wronged. It is never glad about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

Try it and see.

In theory, it should be easy.

But, in theory, Communism works.

Practicing what you preach is always a LOT harder than just preaching it.

I think those are great things to reach for and I can tell you I wasn't 100% there. I wish I could say I was. I get selfish sometimes and want what I want. But I can tell you I did try very hard to live my life this way and was getting "successful" at it. I was not jealous of others and there are alot of people around me that have ALOT and I have very little. When I would walk out of my house I wouldn't see the brokenness of my home while the others around me had more. I would see the beauty of the wild flowers growing in the uncut grass and felt blessed. I would feel the warmth of the sun on a winter day and feel it penetrate my bones and it would make me smile. The stars and clouds were like the best diamonds. Broken sea shells; gemstones. This is how I lived my life. When someone hurt me I would try praying for them. Then someone thought I shouldn't be living my life this way being trusting and loving and they thought they should teach me a lesson. And they did. I lost all love and joy for life and what they told me was "now don't go around being so open to people" They delibrately set out to hurt me so they could teach me life wasn't so wonderful. Because they thought it was wrong for me to be this way. If you had a child would you want to preserve that childs innocence? Sure you would but there are people in this world that think adults (and even our children) should no longer have this innocence. Innocence is a beauty that should be treasured. Unfortunately, few do. There are also devious people in the world that cannot appreciate the beauty in simple things and they want to ruin it for others. I wish you the innocence of a good heart to practice charity to everyone and the protection of God that you never are tainted by the devious people in this world. It's difficult but I think it can be done. Try it and don't listen to the negative people. Peace and blessigs to you.

brett I disagree I was very religious when this happended to me.

Spell check wasn't working.

If you are wishing that everybody ELSE be loving then yes it is difficult. On the other hand it isn't difficult if you want to feel love for others. Give unconditional love to those close to you and conditional love to everyone else. YOU BE Love. It can only start with us. Everyone else is a reflection of our own consciousness.
May the blessings Be.

I think it is because we are all so human. Filled with earthly failings and faults, we don't stand a chance to be loving in all ways. We have to love despite these human failings and because of them. That we sometimes try and make an effort to live in an all encompassing loving way, is a human success that helps offset our failings?:)

Love is meaningless without values. Love is a feeling of affection based on shared values, after all. One might try to live peaceably as far as possible with all, or to live fairly with all, or to live in a mutually-respectful manner with all if possible - but not Loving all. Love is a special feeling - if you felt the same toward all it wouldn't be love. There is no such thing as "unconditional love," because love depends on on values.

So it is impossible, actually it is meaningless, to live in a Loving way to All.

Perhaps you would substitute the word 'charitable' for loving, that might be closer to something that has meaning.

The reason it is difficult to live in a charitable way with all is that there are passionate differences in values, and many people are willing to defend their values with force. For instance, it is difficult to live in a charitable way with people who want to bulldoze your house and murder your family.

even though teachers scholars and great personalities lay emphasis on the fact that man must be loving to his fellowmate it is seen that nothing of that sort ever happens.........the reason i feel this is so is because man has always wanted to be the centre of attraction to the world and hates to be ignored.and so when one gets honour and the other is left feeling dejected he/she unconciously develops a feeling of jealousy towards the other and makes them hate their fellowmate and this makes it difficult for them to live in a loving way to all

Humans need to learn to live in a Loving way within themselves.
Then it becomes easy to live in a Loving way to All.

Then a person can be that change!

Unfortunately, the concept of peace and the concept of religion are mutually exclusive. You can't have peace while religion is alive.

As long as there is religion, there will always be two people that start a war on the taunt "my god is better than your god"

It is certainly a challenge, but much more rewarding to express love in your every day activities. "Why can't we all just get along?" Remember who said that? Rodney King! I will never forget that and wonder that myself a lot.

Because people ignorantly love their prejudices more. When we give up our prejudices and preconceived ideas, it's easy to love, be friends with, and be the well-wishers of others. Letting go of the need for others to be a certain way frees us from the crippling malady of prejudice.
