The US would have taken a little longer to fight back the Japs and Germans, but the US would have still won.

In between the ideological drama that played out between USSR and the rest of the Allies, Germany's borders were sealed and no German citizens were allowed out - many were forcibly repatriated from other parts of Europe. Factories were dismantled and looted as the spoils of war, along with key scientists, by all four Allies. Restrictions were placed on how much food German citizens were "allowed", and consequently millions starved to death. This policy had been supported at the highest levels of the US government and the Marshall Plan was actually a response when it all threatened to blow up in their faces in a PR sense. It's interesting that the "winners" of this one happily teach their descendants about the Marshall Plan, but treat the Morgenthau Plan as if it never existed. Severe reparations were imposed, which Germany only finished paying off last year.

The Americans would have ran home sh*tting themselves because if it wasn't for Britain and the other allied countries helping America out and taking back land that they had lost,America wouldn't have even been in the war for the short time they were.

Anyway the allied forces had the Germans thinking about defeat before the Americans even joined.

Germany would of lost anyway.

We still would have won, it would just take longer. If Hitler had taken England, he would have built up defenses before attacking America. Like the Atlantic Wall. And he would have improved his military. They had jets before us, but we would have the atomic bomb before them.

Just because the govt and armed forces surrender, doesn't mean the people will. Germans would have faced the same guerrilla tactics they faced in France.

America might also have been attacked on its own soil. German saboteurs were caught before they could take out targets in NYC, though I'm not sure when. And long range aircraft were being designed and tested.

More time and more lives, that's the only difference.

the most likely outcome would have been a very protracted war. Had England surrendered during the war--regardless of the position they took--the Irish most likely would have gotten into it out of vested self interest--as the Germans most likely would not have left Ireland alone--would have posed too much of a threat. The United States represented a large portion of the worlds industrial might-and most likely would have insured an end to the war--perhaps not total surrender. (The reason Yamammoto attacked Pearl Harbor was to force a quick end to a shooting war--he was well aware that given the time to convert Americas industrial base to war materials the Japanese would lose). I suspect Ireland would have been used as a staging area--just as England was in reality. England would have been liberated first. How much longer hitler would have had europe under his heel--who knows.

This one is two easy, we would all be speaking Deutsch at the moment because Hitler would not of accepted surrender in the old fashion way. Just think if he would of been smart enough to get Einstein and harness the power of the atom. This place would probably still be glowing from the barrage of nuclear attacks.

The U.S. would probably not have recovered as quckly from the economic slump brought on by the Great Depression years earlier. Ever seen the TV movie "Fatherland" starring Rutger Hauer? Interesting premise. I heard it was based on a book which was better than the TV Movie version.

It is scary to think of what might have happened if Hitler had not double-crossed Stalin after they both overwhelmed Poland. Europe would've been split between the Germans and Soviets, and the US might not have had enough firepower to dislodge either of them. It would be a long, dark period for all Europeans.
