Well, I've been dating this man for 2 months. We met on dating site searchingmillionaire.com, and when we started dating I told him that I just quit smoking and drinking. He told his mother this stuff, and now his mother doesn't believe that I quit. She is threatening to break us up.what can I do?

Sorry, he doesn't sound like a "man" to me. Sounds like he's either still a child who tells Mommy everything, or he's a Momma's Boy.

Run!

Go have sex and laugh in her face: "HAH! That's what you get!! How you like me now!?" LOL, j/k. It's understandable why she's like that. It's kinda weird though because it's her SON and not daughter. You'd figure mothers would be more worried about girls because of pregnancies and stuff. But anyhow, you can't be in a healthy relationship with that kind of a mother around, looking over your and your bf's shoulders all the time. You two need to move out or something, or hang out somewhere else, not at his place. You don't need to prove anything to her. I can tell you're a mature person, not having sex until you're ready. So if you're being true to yourself, that's all that should matter. Furthermore, unless you're planning to marry him, you don't have to worry about pleasing her. If she's gonna be your mother-in-law, then you can start thinking about sitting both her and your bf down and have a mature talk. Being honest always works. And if your bf loves you, he will defend you in front of her. (That's always a good sign to know whether your partner loves you or not.) Then at least you know that you've done all that you can. If she still doesn't get it, then see my above paragraph. :)

Oh the old mother in the middle, My husbands mother is always trying to come between my husband and I.

Does your boyfriend stand up for you?

My husband has never had and I'm telling you now 7 years on it's the only cause of problems in our relationship.
Once a mama's boy always a mama's boy.
I'd move on if thats the way he is, you need to be with a real man.

If he totally stands up for you and tells his mum to butt out then you've got yourself a keeper. She'll get over it eventually she'll have to one day, If she ever truly wants to see her son happy.

**** her. Do you already have strong feeling toward this man? If so, then it shoudl be mutual. If his mother CAN break you up, the he isn't worth you ayway. AND if you have quit drinking and smoking, prove it to her. Spend a day with the *****. A smoker needs at least one a day, she'll have to believ you.

Whatever you do, good luck.

What can you do? Run. Run as fast and as far away from this momma's boy as you can get. You've been dating for 2 months, and he's already telling his mommy things she doesn't need to know. It will only get worse with time. Trust me, I know. Dump him and find another millionaire without a mommy in tow.

Well if he really wants to be with you HE won't allow her to break you up. And to the retard who told you to get a new one, no dont listen to them they obviously have never been loved before. Work on your relationship and try to get closer to his mom. Let her know your here to stay. And if at all possible, try to prove that you've quit and that you don't entend to start again.

If he's so much under his mother's influence that she has the power to break up his relationships, why on earth do you want him?
