As the guardians of the one True Story, we Hobbitarians do not recognize the heretical "Rings Trilogy."
But we much all watch out for the Simmerilian Seperatists!

Sure, a work of literature never has just one single interpretation. I tend to think it's kind of a Moses story with Bilbo as Moses trying to get the Ring, which represents the "Promised Land". You can really add any kind of interpretation on it since it uses classical storytelling methods.
Yep, that's true Impeyan.

Pastor Billy says: Tolkien was a stout Roman Catholic there is much Christian symbolism underpinning the story. Wannabee groups will always attempt to rewrite the symbolism.

The books were written by a brilliant man and he touched on numerous subjects but it was meant to be a fictional fable above all else.

Strangely enough, the book was written by a Christian with Christian principles, but we find that the ideals of "good of evil," and "friendship above all," can translate to all those of any faith, or lack there of.
