and they had already passed on, does this mean it is ok for us to ask our Creator if He is willing if He might send a message to our loved ones, or can they or angels possibly communicate something to us? Are they permitted to hear and see us? How can we tell?

Thank you, I stand corrected. Moses and Elijah. Sorry about that.

the bible says it was Moses and Elijah.

Matthew 17:2-4

2And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.

3And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.

It is called the King James Bible

Everything you ever need is in there.

First, Jesus talked to Moses and Elijah, not Abraham.

Second, there is a lot we don't know, that God in His love and sovereignty has chosen not to explain, and it is best to leave the unknown in its place.

Read the bible and follow what it says.

God on occasion permits dreams to be conduits but rarely as the devil often will hyjack any opportunity to get us to worship him so don't go out of your way to communicate. just say a prayer ask ask God to pass it on whether he does or not will be up to him.

I asked God to give a message to my Daddy and
instead God sent me a dream and I got to do it myself.
Ask and ye shall receive.

You may certainly ask Him to pass on a message for you, but we are forbidden from attempting to contact them directly ourselves. -yk
