lets just say it like that.

How would you like to be annoyed and angered for over 2 hours. Prodded with all kinds of spears and finally die a slow and agonising death (sometimes the bulls struggle for hours before they die.)
It's cruel Period

Hi there

It should be banned. Or if they really must do it then it should be done as a bit of fun so that no harm is done to the bull. But even this way its still very disrespectful of animals and shows us humans for what we really are. Killing it to eat is one thing but enjoying seeing an animal in agony isnt my idea of fun. Save that for Disney.

Anyway its hardly bull fighting when the bulls horns have been removed and the ratio's 5 to 1.

One man vs one bull with horns lets see what the outcome is then.

I did miss the martial arts connection though?

So there you have it. 3 options

Ban it
Do it nicely
Or make it fair for man and beast.

just my views.

Best wishes

I think they should give the bull a fighting chance and not bleed it before.

"bull fighting" is a misnomer, it should really be called bull slaughtering because the bull doesn't have a fighting chance.

even a LARPer could beat the crap out of Fedor if fedor had a bunch of guys come in and throw spears at him to make him bleed to near death right before they "fought".

EDIT: that goes for hunting with guns too. I think that should be outlawed. you want to hunt? get a spear or knife and go out into the wild and kill the animal then. where is the sport in killing a dumb animal with a freaking gun while you are half wasted off of cheap beer (budweiser).

Its a great art form and a cultural tradition, some people think its cruel because, hey, no one wants to be in the position of the bull, but we are hunters by nature, and personaly I think its cruler to just kill a cow like its nothing than to have it fight and die fighting in the stadium

If I had a choice between getting a bullet in the head nad being eaten or fighting in a bull fight I would fight

Martial artists have fights with animals, Oyama killed bulls, and Kabota from Goju Ryu killed pigs with his bare hands, I think when you fight or hunt people have great respect for the animals and thank them for their meal, I know that matidors have great respect for the bulls they fight and I understand that relationship, alot of people and mostly women do not and probably never will

It's also very exciteing to watch the bull fight, I only watched it on TV but it must be amazing in real life

Coming from an Asian country that has been colonized and ruled by Spain in the past, it doesn't disturb me much as it would westerners, especially since c0ckfighting and horsefighting(Yep, 2 stallions fighting in an enclosure to win the right to mount a mare in heat during a festival in Mindanao) is legal over here. I've read that bullfighting is a holdover from ancient Greek culture, it allegedly has to do with how the Greek hero Theseus defeated bulls. Allegedly, bullfighting evolved into the sport of Olympic gymnastics, the vault and pommel horse events in particular are supposedly the evolutionary grandchildren of Theseus' bull fighting techniques where he grabs a charging bull by the horns and vaults over them in a somersault. Anyway the practice supposedly found it's way into Roman culture where, to make it more exciting, participants where given a fighting chance by being provided with a sword and as the Roman empire spread, so did the sport, much like the gladiatorial games. Then the sport found it's way into Spain and evolved from a type of bullfighting fought by noblemen on horseback into one fought on foot by commoners with a cape against a charging bull.

I'm pretty sure it's not legal here in the States, but I have nothing against it. Heck, they eat the meat right? It's not like it goes to waste. The animal gets an exciting way to go out and a crack at it's attacker, probably more than most of us can ask for.

I kinda enjoy when it's the bull that spears the bullfighter, a taste of their own medicine.

My favorite part is when the bull wins.

It is extremely cruel. Evil may be a better word, God didn't give us animals to torture. When someone can hurt an animal that's a sign of a sick person. If they can hurt an animal they can hurt you too. Remember that.
