Do I agree? of course not. I have a brain.
I agree the bible says those things, but that does not make it true. The bible says Pi = 3 and that bats are birds.

According to the Bible the sexual act of a person having sex with the same gender is considered a sin just as having sex outside of marriage is, adultry is, murder is, lying is, etc. However the Bible does not condemn homosexuals to hell as many falsely believe. The New Testament states:
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son. That WHOSOEVER believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
The term whosoever refers to anyone, including murderers, adulterers, liers, and homosexuals. Many Christians forget that Paul who wrote most of the New Testament was a mass murderer of the early Christians before being converted to Christ. That is why many times he calls himself the worst of sinners. Moses killed an Egyptian. King David committed adultery and had a guy killed to take his wife. King Solomon had hundreds of wives and followed other gods. In fact almost every Biblical figure we were taught to revere did something very wrong save a minute few like Job, Enoch, Daniel, Jesus, and John the Baptist. Even Noah was known as a drunk. In fact, many of the people Jesus hung around were considered some of the worst of society such as tax collectors (known for being dishonest). His reasoning was simple though. They were the ones that needed him most.
Regarding eating shrimp and it being considered a sin, that can be debated. I've read the New Testament text a number of times. It could be argued equally well from either side that it did or did not rescind the ability to eat what were deemed at the time as unclean foods. The main gist of the vision or story was that the Gentiles (non-Jews or Greeks) who were considered unclean since they were not Jews could receive the Holy Ghost. The unclean meat represented the Gentiles and them being able to receive the Holy Ghost. Peter and the Apostle Paul argued over whether Gentiles could be considered Christians and receive the Holy Ghost. According to Paul he had personally seen people receive the Holy Ghost and immediately afterwards speak in tongues, so Paul won the argument.
To get the meaning out of Biblical text one needs to read more than just that short section of text but also the text surrounding it such as the chapter or book then compare it with other scripture in the Bible to see if it makes sense. That's the best way to derive the true meaning of the Bible.

Well, homosexuality is an abomination, true. The foods are not necessarily abominations any more.
For example, you are going along your way and someone asks you about the Bible. You talk with them and eventually it is dinner time. This person offers you dinner. They serve you a BLT as this is all they have. Do you refuse it because Bacon is considered a "unclean" animal?
Not according to the New Testament which says, "Whatever I provide, you do not call unclean!" In other words, don't make it a habit of doing, but if that is what is provided to you. You thank God for His provision and go on.
In the Old Testament times, God told them not to eat these items because they were meant as the "cleaning" animals. The scavengers, etc. They generally ate all the vile things that you did not want to bury, etc. They were very full of toxins and worms, things that would make you sick.
While the rest of the world had all types of illnesses, the Jews did not. I believe that is why they were leading more healthier lives. They were not putting those things in their bodies and therefore did not get as ill on average as the outside world.

Read Acts chapter 10 in which the dietary laws were relaxed. Homosexuality is what not tolerated, NOT the homosexual! If that were the case, no one would have the chance of going to Heaven because God doesn't exclude people from having an opportunity for salvation.

the people who said homosexuality is wrong according to the bible are indeed right, as well as eating shrimp, in the book of acts God tells peter not to call anything impure that He has made clean. so we can eat anything even pork, because God Himself says so. homosexuality is wrong, yes homosexuals are nice ppl, some of them that is but the word of God still stands, as it is stated in leviticus"a man should not lay with another man the same way he lays with a woman"at the end of the day God hates the sin not the sinner because Jesus came here for sinners not for the righteous.

Yes, they are both abominations.
To some other answers -
Acts 9 is about Sauls Conversion. It is not about food. And if it were, you would then be placing Paul's words over Gods. Not a very wise choice, considering God, in the Old Test, said his wrath would be on those who turned others from His Law.
Adana - Matthew 5:17 - "Do not think I have come to abolish the law and the prophets... I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them." What YOU are quoting is what Paul has said, that the law ended with Christ. Yet Christ himself says NO such thing.
The more I read quotes from Christians in here, the more I see they are merely Pulpit Parrots.

I agree that the Bible says something to that effect that. It says loads of stuff.
And of course I disagree. I disagree with the Bible.
They have and do use it to spread such things as anti-gay propaganda, hatred, segregation, pseudoscience, patriarchy, misogyny and superstitious lies.
What else is new?

Shellfish come under the Mosaic law, (dietary law) as Christian's that law has been replaced by the New Covenant, and all things are acceptable (lawful) to eat except blood, things strangled and food offered to idols. Food was never considered and abomination, which is concerned with idolatry.
Homosexuality (both male and female) is spoken of in Leviticus and Romans Chapter 1 as being against nature and Romans says that God handed mankind over to vile affections, because they would not retain the knowledge of God. Seems it was, and is a punishment from God.
You may disagree with this, and have the free will to do so; but this is what the bible teaches. You can either accept or reject it. The bible outlines what is the result of rejecting God's word, so choose whom and what you serve....Man or God.
I expect this answer will get lots of negative votes..because man does not retain the knowledge of God. I'm sure He will notice your vote.

No. Only one of them is a disgusting unnatural abomination. Ewww... those creepy spider legs, those beady eyes, that foul repulsive crunch when you get to the tail. Not to mention that filthy, gritty "vein" along the back that is never cleaned out properly. And I've heard that they want to legalise it. Yuck.
Horrible. And definitely sinful.

According to Leviticus, yes. However, Acts 10 changed the latter. The former is still the same.
