People die everyday on the roads because of people who speed, turn/change lanes without using their signal, and just plane drive recklessly. It really pisses me off. Do you think it's our culture to continue to be selfish and disrespectful to safety or do you think the police are too lenient?

A vehicle is a lethal weapon. People need to be more mature and attentive when handling one.

Every time I see a reckless driver being disrespectful to traffic laws, I fantasize about shooting them for the sake of making the world a safer place.

The answer is plainly that people have a tendency to think as little as possible. Driving safely takes thought. Driving unsafely takes less thought.

Others may complain about the intensity of your feelings, but I feel very strongly about this also. Some one dies every twenty minutes in the U.S. because of a car accident; that is just completely unacceptable and ridiculous and unnecessary.

The sad thing is that people such as you and I can do very little about it except do our best to obey all traffic laws and keep our vehicle as far away from all other vehicles as possible. And when we see someone driving unsafely, we can either say to ourselves, "Someday, that guy is going to be very sorry," or, "At least I saw him from a safe vantage point."

I personally believe you have a right to defend yourself if your life is threatened, weather or not it is intentional or not is irrelivant. And when someone is acting stupid in a car just five feet from you, while traveling at seventy miles per hour, they are indeed threatening your life. What I hate is people who compare getting cut off in traffic with someone stepping ahead of you in a line at the grocery store. The term "road rage" is a completely ignorant term coined by people who think anything that happens on the road is an isolated incident.

now now, clam down shooting people is not the answer, but maybe if the Law Courts treated people who use cars to kill other road users as murderers, maybe people would be a bit more thoughtful and consider the fact that if they gave five seconds to drive safer their selfish lives wouldn't finish up in prison for a very long time. (Although i do believe traffic police should have guns....)

Maybe if the people who are causing other drivers to swerve and change lanes rapidly, paid attention to the road conditions and traffic and moved out of the way, would stop playing 'traffic cop' we would not have as many accidents and problems.

Let law enforcement enforce the law, not the driver.

I see more and more disregard to traffic laws each day.
Motorists today are more careless than ever before.

That is why many states have programs known as "Taking Back Our Highways." They will not stop the problem, but they do help.

At least you are concerned for the safety of others.

forget about the "laws" and tell me what cuses more harm... someone driving over the speed limit or not signally or you shooting someone? if you care so much about the "law" apply for a police license, hopefully the law will not allow you to own a gun, psycho.
