I am acquainted with many religious sisters.
Sisters are part of a small religious communities with a very structured lifestyle. This is a big help in becoming and staying very spiritual.
Most sisters are much more spiritual than me.
The term 'nun' is usually reserved for religious sisters living in a cloistered convent.
With love in Christ.

I think the only reason you would become a nun would be because of a calling. A lot of religious people believe in God but not too many join the nuns. I think you would have to be truly religious to do that. Of course back in olden times it was more about having power than a true calling but that happened as well

women enter the convent with different reasons. some felt this "inner calling" that to be of service to God and in church is their destiny (same like any person who felt that being a painter or a doctor or a police officer is the best career choice for them).
and when someone finds him/herself in her chosen "career" then its only normal to excel. and for this matter, yes nuns could be more religious than I am because that's what they do everyday: they reflect, meditate, learn more about themselves and God etc etc.
just don't equate being religious as being "holy" or someone without sin or incapable of making a mistake. because nuns are still human beings like you and me.

Catholics don't/shouldn't do the 'holier than thou' thing. I do admire certain Catholics for their knowledge and insight, but having Nuns as personal friends I know their strengths and weaknesses. They are humans, the same as us all, and devote themselves to their lifestyle choice. Other Catholics can be just as devout, but fit in family life, work, alongside daily Mass and prayer. It's not a competition and my religious friends are just as likely to admire something in my life, such as my work or my family commitments.

Yes, they are more religious because they have used their free will and have chosen to answer a call from God to devote their lives to Him and to His people.

Yes, they are far more religious than I am, and I am humbled in their presence.
That doesn't mean I WORSHIP them, but they have my respect and adoration. Is there a difference? Oh sorry, you're the one asking.
God bless!

Since you are apparently making the rules, what should I tell you?
