I don't know anything about argos sofa's but i have bought their pine bedroom furnature and been very pleased with it. My son bought leather sofa's from DFS and they needed replacing after 13 months because all the seat supports broke. He and his girl friend don't have children so it wasn't abused in any way. I bought a suite direct from a factory 10 years ago and it is good as new, so I suppose you get what you pay for.

The problem here is you can't try before you buy, then you are stuck with it!

Its so important to have a comfy sofa so that your posture is correct and you lumber (lower back) is supported, so many people have back pain from poor quality sofa or bed. My advice it go to DFS and other stores and really take your time sit on as many as you can and

sit right back and see where your feet are in relation to the floor,

sit on it how you would at home - some people curl up in the corner or their sofas.

Lay on it - is it big enough for you?

don't feel silly doing this- cos the cost a lot! Take a friend with you to get their opinion.

and of course make sure its not too big for the room!

i dont know what type i bought but it was a 'buy one get one free' thing two brown sofas, one large two seater and a smaller two seater, it is absolute rubbish, is smaller than measurements in book, awful quality , i was in desperate hurry for a sofa and this was easy option, wish i;d sat on a deck chair for longer, dont buy furniture from argos.
