Why did God flood the earth to remove evil? It didn't work! Evil came right back, God should have known that would happen! So why did He bother?[Note: A good example of how quickly sin returned, was Noah getting drunk just after they discovered land.] Also how did plants survive the great flood?Did the ark also have these on board?how many trees were needed to build this thing?

Dont look for logic or consistencies in the bible !
It is full of paradoxes only if you take is a face value.

Take it as an old version of Lord of the Rings and enjoy the reading !
( yes, it gets a bit boring especially with all the prophets repeating how dreadful we have been and how badly god is going to punish us, or when the writers try to fit Jesus life with old mis-translated prophecies written by other deluded men ).

Lots of wonderful books written by theologians,
but all with the same fragile fundation ( that their god is really up there and inspired the bible )
( same problem with other holy kooky books )
Put your faith in evidence.Logic. Demonstration.
And Have fun with Thy Friends.

End of today`s preach.

"Sin" did not exist at that point as more than a general concept--no law was codified until Moses over a thousand years later. And whereas the rest of mankind was generally evil, Noah was generally righteous. He did have a lapse in judgment with the wine incident, and ultimately Ham (not Noah) is the one who was cursed as a result.

The issue with the plants has always perplexed me, and (barring divine intervention, of course) makes one of several strong arguments that the flood was localized and not global, despite what one gets from a literal translation of Genesis 6-9.

Not necessarily a paradox, but an interesting question: why was the genealogy of Cain included in Genesis 4? If they were all wiped out in the flood anyway, then this is absolutely worthless history.

Yup, the first thing after landfall Noah becomes a farmer and gets drunk, then God curses Ham for sinning.

From reading between the lines, it was to rid the world of the 'angelic' bloodlines. According to the book of Enoch 200 angels broke ranks and heading down to Earth to take wives, and their offspring were giants, cannibals and just generally evil. It was more to purify the blood line than punish the evil.

The ark was meant to have been made of gopher wood (probably cedar).

It's got the bible quotes on the ark.

God flooded the earth not to remove evil spirit but to give lesson to the sinners on earth at the time of Noah. They have forgotten God and no more belief in God who created them. Why did you see that it did not work? It work but due to the tendency of the people to go wrong through the temptations of the devil, people seemed to be against God and opted to follow the wrong path with the evil spirit.

The survivor of everything after the flood is within the mighty power of God. In an instant, God could change and start everything without letting you to know it..

gib: God did not destroy the earth's population because they were evil. God destroyed the then, earth's populace because of a constant mind-set of violence and wickedness towards one another - much like where we are heading today, in our society re: "as in the days of Noah" !!! God obviously knew people were going to sin both, before and after the flood because of the many prophecies stated concerning the birth of Jesus Christ and also, Satan was still around. It isn't paradoxical when you read it for how it was intended to be read. On a more personal note, I wonder with Global warming, that evidence of the Ark will be found with the possibility of the ice & snow melting upon Mt. Ararat, in Turkey ?
