I tried lotion and cream but it's still won't heal. Why is it so?

I use to have that, until I found a simple yet effective solution.. OLIVE OIL. After taking a bath, rub fresh olive oil on your feet and wear socks. Sleep on this and the following day, you would see your heels are staring to soften and heal. Try not to walk barefoot because it can cause heels to dry out and crack. There are other olive oil lotions that are good such as the body shop olive oil cream and just the oil. apply the oil first and the cream or lotion and let it dry for a minute so when you wear your socks the olive oil wont go to the socks. Do this when you are about to sleep. It worked for me, hope it will works for you too!

Rough Dry Heels

Put the lotion on and then immediately put socks on while your feet are still wet with lotion. This allows the lotion to ABSORB INTO THE SKIN instead of just drying on the skin like it does when you "rub" it in. Let it soak in. Do this several times a day - always putting socks on after applying lotion. Try that for a week. If that doesn't help then you need to seek medical attention because there may be something else wrong.

Immerse your feet in a tub of warm water for about 15 Min's and then rub briskly with a pumice stone to remove the rough skin. Thereafter, the most simple and home-made medicine is to melt candle wax in a little coconut oil over a slow fire, cool down and then apply over your cracked heels every night and wear some old socks and go to bed. This should surely heel up the worse dry cracked heels.

Apply a HUGE amount of lotion to your feet and especially your heels. Then immediatly put on socks. This is best if right before bed. Do that every 6 hours, or so. Your heels should be great within a few days. If they are extremely bad then I suggest you use some Cortizone 10, maximum strength and apply that a few times daily.

Palmers Cocoa Butter Cream/ Lotion.
i swear by this stuff.
It comes in a nice creamy lotion or a paste( but slippery) and is so great for the whole body.
I have used this lotion on my brand new grandchild, my children and myself, for years.
Especially after teaching swimming for hours.( you can imagine how much damage the chlorine can do to your skin??
The thicker Palmers comes in a jar, while the lotion ( for several different areas...stretch marks, cracked feet and all of the island women use it all over thier gorgeous skin to prevent damage from the sun.
It is not expensive either and lasts quite a while...especially in the jar( the thicker paste).
Your feet will feel amazing as will any other part of your body you chooseto use it on.
Please don't use the paste on your face though..it is a bit heavier than the lotion...your feet are going to love you...as will your hands.

You already have a lot of great answers but i will answer anyways I really wouldnt scrape off with a knife that could be dangerous. If the knife isnt sharpe they just lightly scrape the blade around your heel. be careful not to hurt yurself. But i advice you to use the rock. The salon person that i go to says (i have the same problem but mine arent extremely dry) when i get out of the show i should apply lotoin for dry skin onto my feet (dont walk around or anything for about 20 minutes or untill the lotion completely dries up. if that doesnt work and the other answers on here i guess you are going to have to try to find money on the street and save up for a pedicure. ask a salon if they can just wash your feet and tell them why just wash and not get your nails done. good luck

if you have a callus that has cracked you need to file it down, or cut it off (calluses do not have any nerve endings and as long as your care full not to cut to deep, you can pinch the dry hard skin and cut it off with a small pair of scissors) then apply your lotion, preferably something with aloe and vitamin e

For me , I always use baby oil and Jonson's lotion after having a shower.

Also you can use ' Himalaya ' lotion for the feet, you will find it in the pharmacy, it is very good.
