Kaaba is the house of Allah!!! Look into the map, re read your geography, Makkah is in the Centre of the Earth and Kaaba is directly under the Arsh (Throne) of Allah! Its a house built by Abraham. Calling that a stone is ignorance!!!
Well Idol Stones, what about Buddha idols or Indian Hindu God idols and what about the Depiction of Jesus Christ in Churches!

Its the hindu's, they make their gods out of stone & worship them. They have several gods, each god for one kind of activity.
Muslims dont worship any stone. If you are thinking that the Kaba is a big stone, then you are wrong. Allah has asked us to pray in one direction, i.e towards the Kaba. We dont worship the Kaba either, its just that all Muslims should face towards the Kaba while praying.
Cynic has given a good answer.

Maybe the aborigines of of Australia? They worship around Ayers Rock in the Outback. I also recall hearing that is the biggest single rock in the world, so I assume that must be it.

No Muslim worships a stone; they believe in One God who cannot be seen. The Ka'ba they bow before represents the unified direction of prayer.
The significance of the Ka'ba is simply in the fact that it provides one direction for prayer for Muslims all over the world.

Why must everyone bow down to a stone in the middle of Mecca? IMO, islam is nothing but a huge cult with many followers, no offense, just my opinion.
