I am now seriously wondering.

when people hate you for that, you always reason that you have expected to be hated because Jesus said so. haven't you ever pondered that you might be being hated because of your arrogance?

don't take offense because this question is not meant to be offensive. even if you take offense, it doesn't change the fact that I don't mean for this question to offend you.

I'm a Christian ... and you do have a very valid point, there !!!
Religious "Fundamentalism" is not Christianity - and far from it. It is simply, performance religion dressed within the "cloak" of Christianity. A genuine Christian does know that fundamentalism is not based on grace but ritualistic "do's & don'ts" (performance religion) to try and earn God's condition-free GRACE.

I feel that arrogance is a trait in all humans, some try not to be so arrogant, others don't check themselves. But I have found as many arrogant Christians as Atheists and other faiths.

Do you have some real heartfelt questions we can answer?? Fire away with them!

Take care, God bless

the whole point of a religion is that it allows you to be right without ever needing to know anything.

to be a doctor, or a geologist, or an engineer takes years of study and a lifetime of being open-minded and observant.

but you join a religion and bang! you know everything important about life.

it isn't just christians: moslems, jains, hindus, sikhs all have the same certainty.

this is why religious people are always so stupid: you can't learn anything new if you already know it all.

It is a really great question, I like it thank you for asking!

Your question is about a balanced approach to life.

Perhaps fear, greed, vanity, skepticism, syncism or even idleness sponsored its ignorance, but, ignorance is actually the last refuge for the intelligencia as a mediocrity for the poor at heart. what the? Is this guy on about!

Low self esteem, intentioned or otherwise, the right to want to tell someone something, challenges, confronts argues what we hold dear, there is nothing new under the sun, society has littered examples where crimes committed in the name of God, injustices exist and condemnation as bazaar as it seems become an acceptance to extremism as a brand name we are forced to consume as a society like a goose force fed a diet of rubbish.

It is not about trotting out clap trap of favorite verses, but respecting the fact, your search, you reasoning and reasoned intellect as yet has not found the particular product within the bible you wanna subscribe too, LMAO its free, relax, it is not about what I wanna tell you, or just gotta here this, your dignity, and the privellege you asked here is an honour, I like the fact you cared about condemnation. Cared about extremists. Your very compassion is vastly measured in ample proportion amongst what google can get you by key words on biblical search engines yourself, but you chose to interact and I thank you.

Brand names like fundamentalist, secular, love, fear, or even condemnation mean nothing. It is not about this label or that? But, what you, in the responsibility you chose here as an act of accountability is seen for who you are and where you stand, I respect you as intelligencia by the depth of your question, but find the idea basic, great the others here covered the scriptural tracts, you want a personal realationship with God and it shows, the bible has that, and much more.

The bible is about ten different writing styles, from narattive, to parable, from genialogy, to prose amongst history and beyond, it appeals to epsolon semi moron to absolute genius. The idea you are either a scientist or a fundamentalist christian with the surity of hell or heaven in not just insulting offensive behaviour, not as a challenge, but has absolutely no biblical foundation, that were a scientist with the abundance of knowledge, as a decent, moral person to see love and be rejected by a christian, their self righteousness would receive judgement as a teacher of the word.

As a person who is Christian, basically, I take the responsibility of custodianship of the bible seriously, not as either a fundamentalist, or even secular, neither of these groups appeal to me, the idea hatred was a focus for what you asked in one portrayal means, to me, what you focus upon you end up getting?

Basically hatred and love, bazaar as it seems are the same emotion, but it is the choice about how you chose your life the bible was aimed. Sure being in a church, Gods body of folk who interact for how they chose their herd instincts as Gods thinking animals on earth is as much about sociology as psychology, the bible, written and inspired by God is the best book on psychology you will ever read, it has all your answers, all I suggest is you read it, get a Giddeons one to get started most motels have one, amongst it is the subject matters where you choices you chose for where you seek inspiration will motivate you more worthilly as a person with a free will to be drawn, not pushed, I appologise for all the bullying which takes place, you gotta admit, its catchy? Bullying in the sense being right, means, I am sorry some folk got it so wrong, we are only human, of one thing they are correct for one may never be totally wrong, that God is love, the power of God is the Holy Spirit and it is not about arrogance nor persuading you, but rather, respecting yourself, those you love and being loving, I chose to write this only because I care compassionately, no other reason.

Ideas like unlimitted good is evil and the fact we as Christians prefer to be mindful that good for the sake of good and for no other reason is a better focus, for where work is done in the name of God, we trust no danger can insue, I hope and pray no harm or crimes committed in the name of God, ever come your way, that as a blessing, my brotherly love, some call it agape love, is that faith, hope, charity, strength and joy abide in you, yours in peace, Phil

Why do you think you know better than anyone else? It is not a complete sentence.

Yes, because his word says so. No, because if you are calling it arrogance you just labeled Jesus Christ. No I am not arrogant. God Bless You.

I don't care if I'm hated. I didn't come here to make friends. I don't think I am being arrogant in my answers. I don't think I know better than anyone else. i just use the Bible. Usually nothing else. i only use my opinion when i feel lazy.

Bible readers know more than those who do not read the bible.Non readers of the bible are ignorant about the teachings of God in the bible while those who are reading and reading and keep on reading the bible, knows everything in the bible with the guidance of God.

Non believers of God will never understand the bible because God will not allow wicked persons to understand it, never to understand it.

It is not what we know or think we know it is only what God says that matters, after all in the end only what he knows will count. Due to the fact the we are believers we believe what the bible says due to that we disbelieve anything that does not agree with scripture. So therefore we think anyone who disagrees with Gods word is wrong, and only God and his word are right.
