Sex and Marriage?

Question

Why is or would be any kind of sex wrong within your marriage. I hear many people say that oral sex, or anal sex, or even just foreplay is sinful. But why would any of that be wrong if you are doing these things within marriage?

Not being graphic, I called it what it is medically called.

For the person who said sex is procreation only.. So do you and would you say other christians should track their menstrual cycle and only have sex during ovulation? What about having sex while on birth control?

Nothing sexual is wrong between consenting adults. Don't pay any attention to church perverts who obsess over what other people do in their bedrooms.

You didn't state which religion's point of view you are asking this from, but as an example here is the Christian view on the subject:

in Christianity the traditional view is that sex should be "between a man and a woman, for procreation ONLY." This view was strictly has been strictly held to for most of its history, and can be traced back to the writings of St. Augustine just before 400 AD.

From a Christian point of view, any sex that is not for procreational purposes is considered contrary to God's intention for the sexual act and therefore a sin. Different faiths interpret this in different ways; the puritans of the 14-1600's believed that any pleasure derived from sex was sinful... your modern day baptist pastor would likely say that sex is a wholesome activity for a married man and a woman to enjoy. As to what kind of sex this is... well there's a reason they call it the "missionary position." But, I digress.

I would dare to extend that "between a man and woman for procreation only" to any Judeo-Christian religion, including Islam and Mormonism. If you think about sex being only for procreational purposes, you can see how anal or oral sex would be thought to be wrong.

Im giving you the Islamic viewpoint, Any sexual activity between husband and wife is permissible except Anal Sex and Sex while Wife is menstruating. Anal Sex is unhealthy and Anus is a passage for stool and has germ and what not, Menstruating Woman have blood running out of priavte parts and that point of time many woman express discomfort.

As for Oral Sex, its not forbidden in Islam per se, its makrooh (Disliked) but no harm done if done.

Marriage is a sacred bond and blessings within the parameters of religion.

Sex is a human requrement for survival like hunger but not an ultimate goal hence the requirement should be fulfilled within the natural manners.

Un-natural practice is highly disapproved by the society since it brings negative impacts on family and individuals in the society.

I think there are many ways to answer this question from natural and spiritual perspectives.

(1) Anus is for defecation.

(2) Anus is not as strong as a vagina, given it is not designed for sexual penetration, and therefore subject to anal tears, which are difficult to treat and take a long time to heal.

(3) Continue with anal sex and one will probably develop urinary tract and possibly kidney infection. This shows those who interpret the Bible literally are probably incorrect, given the marriage bed becomes literally "dirty" if one develops the type of infection common to promiscuous human beings.

(4) Coming from an era in my youth when anal sex was not considered or in vogue, I have the opinion that it is merely male voyerism created by pornography given I have never met a woman who urged me towards anal sex. Whilst women generally are superlative seductresses due to their strong reproductive and romantic instincts, not one ever asked me for anal sex.

(5) Anal sex has a voyeristic and saddistic character. It is also a sign or projection of frustration. Some may say the marriage bed is clean but Jesus emphasised that one's mind be clean.

(6) The purpose of marriage is not sexual anyway. Marriage helps human beings deal with their sexual urges and instincts however the purpose of marriage is for human beings to learn to love and care for one another. As Jesus said: "Love one another".

Human beings who over focus on the importance of sex often have poor marriages. I doubt that for someone who had truely learned to love another human being fully, anal sex would be important and even considered.

I'm a Christian, and the Bible does state " the marriage bed is undefiled". This means simply, that what you do within your marriage, as far as, sex is concerned and your mate does not object to it - then, ALL is legal !!!
You must realize, that there are those Puritanical thinkers out there, who are against any pleasure when it comes to any sex between ones wife or husband. Sex is to be enjoyed - it was created that way, by God !!!

Do you have to be graphic. There is no instruction in the scriptures about how to have sex between a woman and her husband accepted during menses.

Yet it has to be agreed between both persons.Never forced. But since a Christian is lead by the spirit of God sex is a gift from God for a man to his wife.

The spirit guides us in the direction that is pleasing to her as will as in the sight of the Master.

In marriage, sex is always possible.Why do the anal sex when there is the private parts of a woman intended for sex? The nal is intended for the Human waste not for sex.Use your body parts for its intentions only.

Yeah right! U have to pour the coffee in a coffee mug to drink, sip, lick... U cant just take that jug of coffee and drink directly from it! The marriage is a Coffee mug that gurantees that all the coffee inside is urs..
