Maybe in the dark ages this meant something to the superstitious people who thought that the Earth was the centre of the universe before the invention of the telescope.

This depends on what becomes your God. This would put confusion above God when in fact it is the other way around. God became man in the person of Jesus Christ to show us the way towards himself. God is never confused!

That out of CONFUSION comes GOD and out of GOD comes MAN.

Therefore, GOD is a MAN-made idea borne in times of CONFUSION to give MAN order and hope. It's a cycle.

All religion seem to share this common theme. Salvation, punishment, belief in something...

Think for yourself, imagine that there is no prior religion and based on your years on this earth so far, Where do YOU think we come from? Why do YOU think that we are here?

As in, "that dress becomes her" they go hand in hand. The quote is saying (with the presumption of existence), that since there is confusion, the existence of God is a comfort and a guide. Since man is looking for comfort and guidance, then the idea of "God" provides this.

man starts controling his own destiny through all the stuff happening in the last 100 years
