Absolutely! My kids drink tea all the time. Mostly orange pekoe/pekoe cut black tea, but in the winter time we usually switch to green tea since it has more antioxidants than the pekoe. They are hardly ever sick, and if they do catch something, it doesn't stick around very long. It makes a nice iced tea, too, so it's great to have year round. Just don't add any sugar, that makes it less effective. Although it doesn't keep any of US up at night (and we drink a LOT), if you're worried about the caffeine, you can get decaf and it tastes just as good. As a matter of fact... I think I'll go pour a cup right now. Here's to good health! God bless :o)

RE:
Is green tea good for the children?
I am drinking green tea because it has an anti oxidant. But I am wondering if it is ok if i will let my daughters 4 and 7 yrs old to drink it too.

Green tea has caffeine in it. I do not recommend giving it to children.
"Green tea contains a large amount of caffeine, which may cause restlessness, sleep disorders, and other effects in breast-feeding infants. There is no information available regarding the use of green tea by children. Green tea contains a large amount of caffeine, which may cause anemia and other problems in children. Do not give any herbal/health supplement to a child without first talking to the child's doctor. "

green tea is very good for you and the children
children in china wish to drink it all the time
but its soo expensive there
let them drink it
unless before bedtime
if you buy tea from tea bags
than the quality is very low and has caffeine
but if you buy tea from out of the country that costs like
100 US dollars than it doesn't have any caffeine
and the flavor is sooo good

Fennel tea is a good one to give them. My daughter has loved it since she was about a year old. It is also an excellent anti-oxident and has a very calming effect on both children and adults.

I wouldn't because green tea contains high levels of caffine. If they have a healthy diet they don't really need any more anti oxidants. If you want to boost of anti oxidants try using berries or any red fruit or veggies.

milk ony for kids 11 years old and below.
remember that they need all the calcium for their bones. green tea have caffeine, caffeine robs your body of calcium. they might get used to drinking green tea, they would never drink milk anymore.

I hate green tea.
Kids shouldn't have coffee, alcahol or any of that adult stuff. I don't know about tea.
