I had similar dreams many times that someone's arms are pushing me against the bed trapping me and stopping me from getting up from the bed. It's kind of scary because it happened to me more than 3 times and the feeling is almost as real and I couldn't believe it I thought I was still dreaming when I woke up from the nightmare.

What is the dream telling me? Am I suppressing something? May be it's because I often suppress my emotions.

Yes. The dream is telling you that you're stuck with something in your life. Since you do not see the person with the arms, this symbolizes that you are not even aware that you yourself are causing yourself to be stuck and it is not anyone else's fault.

Do these happen on various occasions or has it effected you just this week.....

It could be sleep paralysis, but I have also found that some dreams that cause the body some ill effect, are actually indicative of issues which the dreamer was or not aware of.

Where is it pressing most?

Consider the bed, is the place of rest and relaxation.... Obviously you are making an attempt at relaxing, but something is pressing against you and causing you discomfort.....

Certainly sounds like a physical problem to me.......

Can you breathe through it?

Go to the web, and do a search for sleep paralysis, and search for old hag syndrome. This condition is more common than you know, I see several posts describing this problem here each week..........
