My "God" is myself. Because I'm the one who is my own redeemer, the one who is ultimately in control of my fate, the one responsible for my actions, the decider of what's best for me, and the one who has the human brain capable of creating notions of deity in the first place. Not to mention the most (though not only) important figure in my life.

Of course, I don't kid myself into thinking I'm therefore everybody else's "God". I wield this model as a personal tool, not a public cause. Granted I'm not immortal, but a good read of mythology shows that deities aren't necessarily all-powerful or immortal either.
