Right now my walls are pink and green . We painted my room last summer and im actually kinda tired of the colors. My furniture is light oak? Im not sure but it's a tan color, and so is my floor. I want a more grown up/ adult looking room, more "sophisticated"
What's a good color?

Wander around a fabric store and pick out a color of material as though you are making a pillow. Take that fabric to a paint store and look at all the colors in that color family. When you find the color family, go back to the fabric store and start looking at different fabrics. Take your time and an idea will come. Write down any and all ideas of what you think your room should look like even if you can't draw it. The store will let you get samples of fabric so you can take it home and put it on the walls with the paint. You may like it in the end, you make not. If you have to start over, don't sweat it. Creativity should be fun, not stressful.

Depending on the look your room style is (modern, traditional, etc), you could go with a neutral colour of taupe or beige and add in pops of colour with accessories. Or if you would rather not go that route (the boring one as some would say) you could go with a pale blue wall colour and that would complement the light furniture nicely.

I would go with a very ultra light pink or a warm, glowing off white that way you won't be going to such a radical departure and still have options. Sophisticated can be fresh too.

Sherwin Williams' "soulful blue" with "extra white" trim & ceiling. If you'd like an accent wall, then paint the wall behind your bed "denim."

Blue is great color for bedrooms because it is calm & soothing, allowing you to relax.
