"We were convinced that the people needs and requires this faith. We have therefore undertaken the fight against the atheistic movement, and that not merely with a few theoretical declarations: we have stamped it out."
Adolf Hitler, in a speech delivered in Berlin, 24 October 1933

Hitler stated: "Christ was the greatest early fighter in the battle against the world enemy, the Jews . . . The work that Christ started but could not finish, I--Adolf Hitler--will conclude."

"Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord."
Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf, Ralph Mannheim, ed., p. 65, New York: Mariner Books, 1999

"Liberalism is a disease of the mind that weakens and corrupts human beings" - Adolf Hitler, 1939

Many times Althaus explained to Christians his preference for the Third Reich over the former Weimar Republic. “We Christians know,” he stated, “that we are bound by God’s will to the promotion of National Socialism, so that all members of the people will be ready for service and sacrifice.” (“Kirche and Staat,” p. 29)

Paul Althaus, a Lutheran theologian of renown in Germany, warmly greeted the rise of Hitler. He wrote that, “The Protestant churches have greeted the political turning point as a gift and miracle of God”.. (“Die deutsche Stunde der Kirche,” p.5)

In a speech to Polish Catholics, Hitler declared: “I as a German Catholic, ask only what is permitted to Polish Catholics. To be antisemitic is not to be un-Catholic. The Church used every weapon against the Jews, even the Inquisition. Christ himself was a pioneer in the fight against Judaism.” (ibid, p. 146)

At a Church conference, Hitler affirmed that the Catholic Church has always regarded Jews as evildoers and had banished them into ghettos. He (Hitler) is only doing what the Church had been doing for fifteen hundred years.. (ibid, p. 79)

“I do insist on the certainty that sooner or later – once we hold power – Christianity will be overcome and the German Church established. Yes, the German church, without a Pope, and Luther, if he could be with us, would give us his blessing.” (Adolf Hitler, Hitler’s speeches, edited by Prof. N.H. Baynes [oxford, 1942], pg. 369.)

“If I find a Jew to baptize, I shall lead him to the Elbe bridge, hang a stone around his neck, and push him into the water, baptizing him with the name of Avraham!.. I cannot convert the Jews. Our lord Christ did not succeed in doing so; but I can close their mouths so that there will be nothing for them to do but to lie upon the ground.” – Martin Luther

"God told me to strike at al-Qaida and I struck them, and then He instructed me to strike at Saddam, which I did, and now I am determined to solve the problem in the Middle East." --- G.W. Bush , Commander in Chief of Abu Ghraib torture

It's an expression of mysticism, which is a threat because mysticism has no reason behind it, it can only be backed up with manipulation and violence, AKA the immoral use of force against another human being. Mysticism is the antithesis of reason. It's mindless self-destruction and nothing more.

Terrorism involves violent or destructive acts (as bombing) committed by groups in order to intimidate a population or government into granting their demands... Merriam Webster.

I don't consider "accept Jesus as your savior or you will go to Hell" to be a violent or distructive ACT. Also, I do not consider it a THREAT either, because a threat is an expression of intention to inflict evil, injury, or damage. If the phrase was, "accept Jesus as your savior or I will SEND you to Hell"... now THAT is an expression of the intent of the person to inflict an evil upon. But the phrase was "OR you will go to Hell" is more of a warning and not the nature of a threat... nor terrorism.

As for all you other fine quotations... SO WHAT? I'm sure that with sufficient time and effort, I could come up with just as many quotations supporting an opposing point of view. Those quotations are not PROOF, m'dear!

Have a blessed day.

Terrorism is something people do to each other. Eternal condemnation is something the Creator rightly does to those of His creatures who eternally despise all goodness. Genuine Christians do not carry out pogroms or conduct genocide, because one who does such great evil has arrogated to himself virtual deity, and has thus denied the essential Christian truth that only God is God. If you are willing to counter that a person can be a Christian without believing Christian truth, then your statement is unintelligible to the reasonable mind, for Christian belief, wed together with a Christian heart of love, is what makes one a Christian. Accept no imitations.

I'm a Christian. I know the fact is that if you are not a believer in Christ, then you'll face the eternal consequences...However, I am very much opposed to using this hateful argument to bring someone to Christ. I call it "evangelism by mugging." I don't believe that God wants people to come to faith in him by fear. I believe He wants souls to come to Him through love by faith. I have my doubts about people that come to faith through fear of hell. I often wonder whether they are really believers, or just hope for "fire insurance."

You have a lot of interesting quotes that don't seem to elaborate on your actual question. . .

Personally I find a statement like that to be a threat - be it real or imagined. If you believe in hell it is a threat that may be very real to you. However if you do not believe in Hell, or Christ, then it is merely an annoyance.

People say Go to Hell everyday. Does that mean they are offering you a vacation in Jamaica?

God never said "accept him or else!" God CLEARLY said "The only way to the father is through me. So no, that isn't a form of terrorism, its the truth.

Thanks for showing me those quotes. I hope you can see the error in those statements by Hitler in the way I can. Hitler obviously didn't understand some pretty basic things in the Bible. Such are the politicians.

As far as what George Bush said, maybe God did and maybe He didn't. But what I do know is that Al Queda is in no way comparable to the Jews who live today.

As far as blaming George Bush for Abu Ghraib - maybe he did, maybe he didn't. I don't know. But what I do know is that for some time there has been a group who call themselves "Bush Haters", who have admitted to me that they don't care if they are wrong about George W. Bush. So I know that there are certain people who do not want to be fair about anything they say about him.

As far as Christians using the 'Hell' line for attempting to bring the Gospel to people, they are what they are. I don't do it that way, but the devil gets into certain congregations and spoils the message whenever she can. I am not one of them.

I don't think it's terrorism - the people getting angry who hear it is not akin to recovering body parts off of sidewalks at cafes in my opinion.

Simple fact. No one can tell anyone who will or will not go to heaven or hell. I believe if anyone is religious they should not say those things. It's Gods place to judge not anyone elses.
One of my sister in laws friends would always tell her she would go to hell for certian things. I find that most people who say this are very contradictary. They say things like that but they do the same things they were just scolding you for.

If a man from the future visited you and told you you would be hit by a bus on Dec 7th 2007, would it be terrorism?

Are you afraid of the truth?

Why does it terrify you?

Is it because deep inside you know it's possible and want to stay self deluded until it happens?
