I mean, I am not attacking anybody here. I'm just saying that I find life more pleasant when I am able to keep a good attitude and not try to argue or get angry over someone else's opinion. I believe that God loves atheist! And I believe he wants them to make it as much as me! So; I don't want to totally destroy an oportunity to at least be kind to them! And to show them that I am doing the best I can to be a caring person. They are people! I mean, why should I be disrespectful or show them my bad side all the time? I find it rather arrogant to constantly see another person as an opponent. Your true opponent is Satan! I have questioned myself at times. Thinking: "why did I say that?" I mean it does nothing but increase hostility towards me! Besides, My goal in life is to be an honest true child of God! And a true child of God loves his enemies! To say an Athiest cannot find heaven is a lie! Anyone who chooses to repent and find God is welcome to his kingdom!

tuberoot, I am not God! So I am to live according to his word! I am not to be God! Thats what bothers me! We can find ourselves trying to be God rather than being like him! We are instructed to love our enimies and our neighbors! I find no text in the Bible that I should be against certain people because God was. After the death of Christ alot changed! It is now much easier to fin forgiveness! I refuse to shut the door on anybody! Because then I risk the door being shut on me!

Breakdown what do you consider to compassion? I'm not saying we should go around kissing everyone's feet or knocking on everybody's door! But when I'm out in public I don't have to go around condemning everyone to hell! That would be rather rediculous and that would be a slap in the face for sure!

Physics? Universal law? Hmmmm... I'm just not so sure about what that has to do with the question I just asked. But thats ok.

Well, before the Apostle Paul Became "Paul" He was "Saul!" And if you remember, Saul was a very evil man who hated Christians! I don't know whether he was an Atheist prior to that or not, But He found forgiveness and became A great man of God! So, you can never count out anyone! If Marilyn Manson got on his knees and truly repented he could find God! You just cannot shut the door and stand in the way!

In an ideal world people should treat everyone the same, regardless of religion, race or even sports team supported (Unless they are Manchester United fans of course)

Yes, we should be more respectful and careful in the way we word our responses. It would be nice if everyone here could communicate without all the hostility and lay off slinging insults at each other - something I'm ashamed to admit I've been guilty of at times. Returning jabs is easier. It's more difficult and takes more self-discipline to be Christ-like in our words and actions.

But, it's definitely something we should all strive to do because Jesus commanded it (Luke 6:27-36). God is "kind to the ungrateful and wicked," and as Christ's disciples we should be too. It's one of the ways in which we set ourselves apart from the world. A kind, gentle, and loving spirit is also what draws others to us and makes them question exactly what it is we have that they don't have. The answer, of course, is Jesus. However, it's difficult to successfully share that answer when we position ourselves as their opponents because this immediately puts them on the defensive.

That said, we should never compromise or candy coat the truth in order to do this. But, we should speak the truth in love.

I don't know if you even understand what your own question means, because of your own reply.

I don't have the same views as you, but I welcome your beliefs and accept your truth as Your Truth. I would never come up to you and force my views on you, or smite you for not believing the same things that I do.

I believe that religious diversity is wonderful, and we all could stand to be a little more empathetic towards our fellow man and enlighten ourselves with other's points of view.

Maybe the hostility that you say is directed towards you is directly related to your views on other's opinions.

In my opinion, you could use a few more lessons on the Universal Laws and quantum physics.

I think you should understand Who God Is before you go about trying to "be an honest true child of God".

You could call that being open minded and although i know your intentions are good i dont think Atheists care about God if they dont believe in Him but even if they dont its probably because they did quite a bit of research on it before deciding that or had bad experiences like the kind that can either make you or break you. But thats just my opinion since im not Atheist or anything i cant say for sure.

"For God so loved the world..." God is love. We live in a natural world flooding our senses. It is very difficult to over come the natural all the time.

But you are correct in that we should be concerned in regard to how we respond. Jesus stated he says what the Father says and since we are Christians we should do this as well.

One of my pet peeves is when people just mindlessly spout scripture and amens...etc. If we would take the time and ask what we should say and then only say that then more would come to the knowledge of God. And guess what sometimes we are to say nothing! Just pray! What a concept!

Whew! I feel better...lol

Muslims, Christians and Jews believe in the God of Abraham. Islam, Christianity and Judaism are considered Abrahamic religions. Christians do not believe in the revelation of the Qur'an to Muhammad and that the scriptures are not true so that the description of Allah is not what they envision of God. Some follow the teachings of Robert Morey that Allah was a pagan moongod. It is deeper than the translation of a word. Christians believe that Jesus was both fully man and fully God. Muslims believe that Jesus was a man and not the son of God. Muslims do not believe in the trinity that is the foundation of Christian belief.

They say the truth hurts. And Jesus didn't hold back any punches when he talked to certain people. That's why it would depend on what I was asked as to how I respond.

According to the Bible, God does NOT love everyone. He sent His Son after what is referred to as a 'treasure' in the field. The field is fill of dirt, but the treasure was worth it to Him to come after.

If you want to, please read Romans 9. In that chapter, Paul goes over a few things about this subject.

You're a very wise individual! Nobody ever argured anybody into Heaven. We're just to 'love as He has loved us.' Jesus loves even those who refuse to acknowledge Him. We're called to do the same. I like your thinking. You sound very mature and a good soldier for Christ. Blessing upon you as you serve your Creator God.

being compassionate can be a slap in the face to some one who doesn't believe in the same thing as you especially religion. its like saying I'm sorry your wasting your time with nonsense when its your lifes work. bha it makes more drama. consideration is more valuable.

That's quite amusing about Satan, but hey, that's what you think. Personally, while I don't love everyone, I respect individuals, regardless of their religious beliefs.
