It can be very common to believe that man has been on the earth for 6000 years. But the earth could be much older than that. If you recall it took until the 6th day for man to be placed upon the earth. We don't really know how long a day is in Gods time frame. But I do agree that to say the earth is only 6000 years old is a little out there.

I personally believe the Earth is about 182 years old. Everything from before that was just made up. Of course since we all live in a storybook that an autistic girl wrote I am not sure if that is even correct. Also, the Earth is flat just like the page in the book. I'm nervous about when it is going to get turned.

in case you're debating evolution and creationism then the arguement is exasserbated by utilising the shortcoming of information by utilising maximum bible readers from their very own bible - in actuality, interior the 1st web site!. The 6,000 years you confer with is the easy christian interpretation of the time via fact that creation. prolonged to be the age of the earth. although, even although the 1st verse interior the bible says the earth became into created by utilising God. the 2d verse says the earth "became" (mistranslated as "became into") a place of darkness. Then, the 6 days of creation began. So the 1st 2 verses supply a term of unknown length while the earth became into created and then over it sluggish became a planet of darkness. maximum bible believers miss that critial element. hence their arguements against evolutionists is defective via fact the aetheists say, "yet technological understanding has chanced on a rock it relatively is a hundred,000 years previous - so faith and God could desire to be a super lie." devoid of going too indepth, there are different verses that talk of the time in the previous the creation week while Lucifer became into spoke of as an archangel of elegance, became into granted a time of rulership over the earth and over one 0.33 of the angels. This introduced arrogance and jealousy and his decline the place the earth became as defined in verse 2 of Genesis financial ruin a million. yet for an aetheists, or evolutionist, it relatively is getting to a intensity the place the bible to them could desire to in common terms be a super sci-fi tale. The 6 days of creation and a million of relax represet the 6000 years (a million day = one thousand years primary) for guy to do his element in the previous the single thousand 365 days rule of God. that would not exchange - different than that issues interior the international are coming to a climax (although one could interpret that). you in addition to could confer with archives from historical asia. do no longer generalise your thinking by utilising have faith each and every thing you pay attention. There are study that propose that the classic writings of the classic asians incorporate recorded debts the place the "plagues on Egypt" have been experienced on the different area of the international. Does that colaborate with the bible?

Religion came from the ideas of people who lived thousands of years ago.and is a reflection of their knowledge at that time. Since then mankind has acquired so much more knowledge that has made previous beliefs obsolete. However the previous beliefs were recorded as the word of God and religion can't say that they made a mistake. We now know that there are billions of species of living things on this planet and what the ancient people recorded as the story of Noah's Arc is impossible. But religion is stuck with it.

Now look son, I,ve been in the second hand Earth game for a good few years now and despite it's slightly battered appearance I can put my hand on my heart and say that this little beauty is definitely well under the 6000 year mark. And lets not forget that's 6000 "easy" years with one little old lady owner. I swear as God is my witness that this little planet has just done the same old steady speed day in day out, no accidents, collisions and certainly never raced rallied or thrashed. Now! how will you be paying?

6011 years as of June 1st, to be exact. And no, I don't believe it.

That only works if the Earth is flat and the Sun revolves around it. And the Aussies would have fallen off a long time ago if that were the case.

How much difference does it really make? What does, or doesn't, it change? If a persons dad says his son is 30 but his mom says he's 31, does it really matter all that much? The fact is- they have a son, he's alive, and they love him very much. If one parent is making a mistake in quoting their sons age doesn't matter all that much in the big picture of things. The sons actual age is a secondary matter. Could it be that the age of the earth is like that? If I believe the earth is around 6000 years old and another person feels it's closer to 60000000 old, does it really matter all that much? It's here ain't it.....? And that's what really counts.

The pathetic willful ignorance of the young earthers answering this question is a sad statement on the educational system of the U.S. No proof the world is more than 6,000 years old? You are either blind or live with your head up your, er, in the sand. I think the latter.

Christians do not believe the planet is 6000 years old. Maybe the creation of life as we know it was, maybe not. That age was determined long ago by doing the math on the genealogies.

By calculating the ages of the Patriarchs backwards, it generally gave us the start date of 4004 BC. This however is not to say that was when the planet itself was made.

P.S. I guess I stand corrected. Apparently some do. But I have to add... they that do are wrong.
