Ok my husband has really nasty breath, and I'm alway telling him that his breath stinks, and I know there's nothing he can do about it especially when there's not mints or gum around, but I'm hurting his feelings all the time telling him his breath stinks all the time. So how am I supposed to stand his (or anyone's) bad breath if its horrid and they're talking in my face?
I have a very sensitive nose and it makes me sick when a person has bad breath.

Bad breath is a serious social problem for many people regardless of age and status in life. Brushing the teeth to remove plaque and tartar helps, as does treating canker sores that may appear on the gums and taking other steps to maintain good oral hygiene. Unless bad breath is kept under control by tooth brushing and flossing and where necessary, the use of antibacterial products at http://www.oramd.com/bad-breath.htm the condition will recur.

Bad breath is usually caused by bacterial activities at the back of your tongue. There are toothbrushes with a tongue comber on the back that's supposed to help. Also, could it be stuff he eats that you don't?

Being told having bad breath all the time is a little embarrassing, but at least you're honest, which he should appreciate. Perhaps, you're too rough in your tone? (just looking at it from different angles.) I do feel bad for you.

If he has tried everything and nothing has worked.. I'm assuming he's tried brushing in the morning, and brushing his tongue until there's no more white color on it, and rinsing with Scope after, then it could be his colon. I'm no expert on it, but I saw something on TV that stated that over time, mucous and waste food will get trapped along the sides of your colon - one of the side effects is bad breath. Google for "colon cleansing", maybe he should try one of the products.

At our house we try to be a little less accusing. We call it "Strong Breath" You may want to schedule a visit to the doctor or dentist for a cure.

Maybe you are unaware of 2 of the major causes of strong breath odor.
--Needed dental work - cavities harbor bacteria that are attacking the tooth. These give off an odor.
--People with post-nasal drip, who have infections.

Bad breath comes from the stomach, not from the mouth. Tell him that his breath smells funny and give him a "Breath Assure" gelcap which is sold at pharmacies.
